126 Killed in Chicago Since Mayor Called for Ceasefire in Gaza

A child is dead and 10 other people are injured.

At the end of January, Mayor Brandon Johnson, the corrupt pro-crime leftist in charge of the city, whipped votes and broke a tie to demand that Israel stop attacking his Hamas pals under the guise of calling for a “ceasefire”.

Gaza hasn’t been doing so well since, but neither has Chicago.

Since Mayor Johnson and the cowards and leftists on the City Council called for a ceasefire, 126 people have been killed in Chicago.

That’s right. 126 just in the last several months. (Those are the Trib numbers, Hey Jackass shows 140 for the whole year but it may be listing only murders that occurred as a result of shootings. HJ also shows 539 shot and wounded so far this year.)

And here’s how the Chicago ceasefire is going so far.

A child is dead and 10 other people are injured after a mass shooting at a family gathering on the city’s South Side on Saturday night.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for 18 gunshot rounds at the location, police said. They found multiple people shot and started performing live-saving measures on the victims.

The victims included seven adults and four children, police said. A girl was shot in her head. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The girl’s father, Jose Molina, identified her as 9-year-old Ariana Molina.

“They had some big assault rifles, I guess, because it was too many shots… they shot my daughter in the head… my wife in the back… me in my leg… my two nephews and a couple more family members,” Jose Molina said.

ShotSpotter may have saved lives here. Mayor Brandon Johnson of course wants to get rid of ShotSpotter because it causes the police to detect gunfire and thereby arrest more of his voting base.

Meanwhile, Mayor Johnson has leaped into action after the latest shooting to… offer therapy to everyone affected.

The Community Safety Coordination Center has developed an initial response plan, which, among other resources, will consist of:

A mass canvassing event at 52nd and Damen and surrounding blocks on Monday, April 15, at 2 p.m. with the purpose of providing the community access to behavioral teams, victim services and case management

Financial support for the family of the child who passed away via the Emergency Supplemental Victim’s Fund program

Emergency Services Assistance Center, starting today, April 14

Victim services to other victims and families

Increased 9th District CPD presence at impacted schools

As the CPD and our partners work through their investigation, the Back of the Yards community has the full support of our administration as they process and heal from this trauma.”

That’ll stop the next shooting.

But he is holding a ghoulish “roundtable” on antisemitism at which the only apparent attendees will be Hamas supporters.

At least three Jewish lawmakers and several Jewish organizations are declining Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson’s invitation for a Monday roundtable to discuss antisemitism over what they describe as “disrespect and lack of concern for the Jewish community.”

In a letter sent Friday declining the invitation, 50th Ward Ald. Debra Silverstein; state Sen. Sara Feigenholtz, D-Chicago, and state Rep. Bob Morgan, D-Deerfield, pointed to Johnson’s tie-breaking vote in support of a resolution calling for a cease-fire in the war in Gaza as an example of Johnson’s “stunning failure in leadership.”

The only ones attending apparently will be the pro-terror JVP.

Mayor Johnson’s approval rating dropped from 28% in November to 21% in February. At this rate, he’s gonna make Lori look like a rock star.
