AI War Games

Fox News posted an article about a Heritage Foundation report, called TIDALWAVE, that used an artificial intelligence (AI) model in a potential U.S.-China war over Taiwan.

The AI model used publicly available information and determined the U.S. would have “catastrophic losses to aircraft and sustainment infrastructure in the Pacific”.

Platforms, munitions, and fuel compounds were tracked and operational failures occurred early in the conflict, resulting in global consequences in the amount of $10 trillion dollars.

The report was given to national security officials who wanted some sections redacted before its release to the public.

Because of this analysis, it was determined the U.S. “is not equipped nor arrayed to protect and sustain the Joint Force in a conflict with China in the Indo-Pacific.”

The AI model also determined China was “capable of sustaining high intensity combat operations for months longer”.

The redacted report can be found here.
