In this episode, the Common Core Diva Lynne Taylor joins me to help others know what is going on in their local area under the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and exhort them to be aware and speak out against the encroachment of our liberty.

1) From last week’s show, the press release that stressed how important local government and actions can be: https://sdgs.un.org/publications/inter-agency-policy-brief-localizing-sdgs-advancing-six-transitions-local-level-61805

2b) From 2023, the UN classified that localization was SO important, it must be turned into a “high impact initiative”: https://hlpf.un.org/sites/default/files/2023-09/Local2030%20Brochure.pdf

5) For consideration when dealing with your local government: This post from my personal Facebook page was after attending a local county meeting where public comment was sought in connection to our property taxation. Not only was a treated like an ignorant child, the serious concerns I voiced went silently into their mental trash can. https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=29086343497656946&id=100001240440127&rdid=FmpFZ5wJJOrjEe2E
6) What can you do locally?
Go over the town, city, county and state plans in the following departments:
Planning and development
Social programs (food banks, energy programs, health and wellness for families)
Housing and Urban Development
Education (local school boards)
Your elected/appointed leaders
*Did any entity recruit these people? Did an organization (private, public or a combo of both) fund their campaigns? Why does this matter? Recently, I was able to learn that a local town had a local school board quietly ‘stack the deck’ to get what they wanted done because the previous leadership blocked their plans repeatedly!
It matters who is in charge when it comes to our local leadership. Why? Because if they are leading due to the influence of others and NOT their own heart, they will not truly represent you!
Review any town charters, local laws and your State Constitution.
Form a like-minded citizen group to meet regularly and work together to hold leaders accountable.
Know that policy is NOT law. Many of these leaders confuse the two. As I often use this illustration: Law is concrete; it’s the sidewalk you walk on. Policy groups are represented by the different trees near the side walk. Their leaves, which you walk on, are each policy group’s interpretation of the law. Policies are therefore not as solid as the law!
Scriptures on leaders, especially in the Old Testament, can help your citizen group.
Jer. 10:6 &7, 10 is also vital
