Confirmed: Obama has unconstitutionally put Boots on the Ground in Libya despite Claims to the Contrary
The Pentagon confirmed earlier this week that US boots are on the ground in Libya despite Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah’s claims to the contrary.
On Wednesday, Deputy Defense Press Secretary Gordon Trowbridge said that a “small number of U.S. forces have gone in and out of Libya to exchange information with these local forces in established joint operations centers, and they will continue to do so as we strengthen the fight against [ISIS] and other terrorist organizations.”
The Washington Post reported that “U.S. Special Operations forces are providing direct, on-the-ground support for the first time to fighters battling the Islamic State in Libya,” quoting U.S. and Libyan officials.”
Trowbridge denied reports on Wednesday and said forces “are not on the front lines.” Rather, he said that the troops were providing “unique capabilities” like “intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) and precision strikes.”
However, it seems that locals there are not convinced of Trowbridge’s claims.
The Tripoli Post reports that many civilians are skeptical with regard to foreign troops and whether or not they will be of help.
Observers in and outside Libya remain pessimistic as to the American direct military intervention in Libya which they believe will only deepen instability and brings more violence to the country.
They cite the ongoing destruction, killing and instability that foreign intervention has brought to Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Yemen.
The question should be is there any constitutional authority for sending American forces into Libya, even if it is for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and precision strikes? Aren’t precision strikes a part of war? When has Congress lawfully authorized this in accordance with the Constitution? The answer is that they have not.

Congress failed to deal with the Obama administration when it first went into Libya and impeach Mr. Obama. That only emboldened the administration to continue to act unlawfully and expose America’s forces to more danger and jeopardize the people of Libya.
Congress has not declared war since World War II. Therefore, every war that has taken place since that time has been unlawful, according to the US Constitution.
The correct response to this latest unconstitutional act is to act constitutionally and impeach the usurper in chief. However, can we really expect those in Washington to uphold the Constitution in the matter of impeachment when they sit silently by and watch it be violated? I think not.
