A Scriptural Response to Those Who Still Do Not Understand What a Preacher’s Responsibilities Are…

“Oh my brethren, Bold hearted men are always called mean-spirited by cowards.” -Charles Spurgeon

How it is that the American version of Christianity tolerates a world that is at war with God and His people, I know not (Micha 3:5).

They lay not the issues to heart and, in turn, reap the curse (Malachi 2:2).

It’s because they are not valiant for the truth.  Rather, they proceed from evil to evil and unabashedly have the audacity to lay claim that they belong to the Lord when they do not know Him (Jeremiah 9:3).

It’s no wonder why we have the generals of God like William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, that rightly predicted the future state of the coming Christless Church over 100 years ago.

William Booth stated: “The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, heaven without hell.”

Here we are today, just like he had predicted.

Today, Americans have also succumbed to the prediction of the Prince of Preachers Charles Spurgeon when he stated “a time would come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats.”

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been receiving demeaning messages from a cowardly listener who, apparently, does not have the internal fortitude or proper understanding of Scripture to call into the show and contend for the faith (Jude3-4).

Like any coward, they cut and paste show after show to do their best to get people to follow their misguided lead (Matthew 10:23, 15:14).

I would like to share his comment with you with scripture to back-up this individual’s scriptural ignorance, for I am set for the defense of the Gospel (Philippians 1:17).

Accusation: Bradlee Dean is a spiritual Narcissist.

In 1 Samuel chapter 17, young David is out overseeing the sheepcote. The Lord trains him up by allowing David to take out a bear and a lion (17:34-36).

David then sees the armies of Israel standing ready for war against the Philistines while hearing Goliath defy the armies of the living God (17:26).

David, understanding the anointing (Psalm 18:29), said that he was able and willing to take out the Goliath that everyone else, including the king, were tolerating. David was going to have none of it.

Because he was willing to do what others were unwilling to do in knowing that he was more thaen able to take out the giant.  His oldest brother Eliab, who became angered, said to him, “I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart…” He said this because David was willing to do what others were not.

The rest of David’s life and godly victories are history.

Accusation: Bradlee Dean is NOT being honest to himself about being a Charlatan.

I am, for the record, constantly examining myself in the light of the Word.

In 2 Corinthians 13:5 it says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”

This is what those who follow Christ do.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” -2 Timothy 2:15

Again, Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost: “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

King David penned, “I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me” (Psalm 119:30).

*This person stated that I was a charlatan pretending to be something. I have never claimed to be anything outside of wanting to be faithful to the Lord (Proverbs 14:25).

Yet, do remember that Jesus said in Mark 10:25, “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”

You are to inspect the fruit of my ministry and by that I am to be judged (Matthew 7:16).

Accusation: This is NOT a Biblical Christian Ministry at all.
https://sonsoflibertyradio.com/equipping-the-saints.html

Accusation: Be careful this is spiritual abusive ministry!

“When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?  And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.  He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

“For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” -Matthew 7:29

I wonder, was it spiritually abusive when “when (Jesus) had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables” (John 2:15).

When Jesus damned the hypocrites for a whole chapter in Matthew 23? No, on the contrary love warns. (Leviticus 19:17, 2 Corinthians 5:11)

Accusation: Jesus Christ never acted like Bradlee Dean does.

No, but I hope to act like Him (Hebrews 13:7).

Listen to Jesus here: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity” (Matthew 23:27).

Friends, the spirit of the world is the same as it always has been.  They praise the dead saints and persecute the living saints!

Accusation: He is not a man of God.

“In For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God:” -John 3:34

Friends, you do not apply for the ministry.  The Lord appoints and enables and leads men to do His will (1 Timothy 1:12; Romans 8:14).

Listen to what Jesus said to Peter in John 21:18: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.”

Accusation: Bradlee Dean is very arrogant & condescending person to Christians!

Nobody rebuked the hypocrites more then Christ Himself. These hypocrites hate to be scripturally instructed because they hate the cross (Philippians 3:17-21). They hate to be reproved because they are self-righteous and reject the counsel of God against themselves (Luke 7:30).

No, these are they that “claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.” Titus 1:16

Accusation: Bradlee Dean believes Jesus Christ is his brother.

He is our Lord and Saviour from sin (Matthew 1:21).  That is what Scripture states.

“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren…” -Hebrews 2:11

Accusation: False Prophets

False prophets are the ones that declare “peace peace,” when there is no peace (Jeremiah 6:14), or declare that the Lord foretold what never comes to pass (Deuteronomy 13). We hold to Scripture here, friends.

Accusation: False teacher!

Never claimed to be a teacher.

Accusation: Destroys the person’s faith.

If Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), you can rest assured that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ …(Philippians 1:6).

No devil in Hell can take away what The Lord puts into you.

Accusation: Bradlee Dean is not humble at all.

“God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”

Real grace says “go and sin no more” (John 8:11).

“Humility is spoken of, as if it consisted in a deep sense of unworthiness, where as it consists in no such thing. If humility consisted in unworthiness, the devil might be humble, and doubtless are, if this humility. Convicted sinners might also be humble, and doubtless, if this is humility. I scarcely ever in my life, heard a minister speak of humility as if he had any definetly developed idea of what it is. Humility must consist in a willingness to be known and appreciated according to our real character.” -Charles Finney

Put the modern definition of humility up to scriptural patriarchs and you will not see in comparison as to what the modern-day church has left off.

We are in a war, and our amour is for the front, not the back (Ephesians 6:10-19).

The righteous are bold as lions (Proverbs 28:1), not blind sheep wandering aimlessly with a message of we have no king but king Ceasar while crucifying the truth (John 19:15).

These hypocrites do not understand that we, as ministers of the Gospel, are to be free of the blood of all men in giving no offense to the ministry (Acts 20:26; 2 Corinthians 6:3).

In other words, we owe men the truth because love worketh no ill (Romans 13:8, 13:10) and without offense toward God (Acts 24:16).

Preachers do not seek the approbation of men because they did not receive it from man (Galatians 1:10-11).

There are more than there are not that still do not understand that we are to warn day and night (Acts 20:31) of the impending judgment that we ALL must face (Hebrews 9:27).

We are not sent to make friends.  We are sent as ambassadors on behalf of the King with the message of repent for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  there is no nice way to proclaim it unless they are repentant (Isaiah 66:2)!

I thought it important as to how all of these accusations came to me from a comment posted on our LIVE feed from AnonymousUSAPatriot. You read that correctly, Anonymous.  So, due consider the source.

I end with a quote by Charles Spurgeon:

The man whom God means to be a labourer in His harvest must not come with soft and delicate words, and flattering doctrines concerning the dignity of human nature, and the excellence of self-help, and of earnest endeavours to rectify our lapsed condition, and the like. Such mealy-mouthedness may God curse, for it is the curse of this age.

The honest preacher calls a sin a sin, and a spade a spade, and says to men, “You are ruining yourselves; while you reject Christ you are living on the borders of hell, and ere long you will be lost to all eternity. There shall be no mincing the matter, you must escape from the wrath to come by faith in Jesus, or be driven for ever from God’s presence, and from all hope of joy.”

The preacher must make his sermons cut. He is not to file off the edge of his scythe for fear it should hurt somebody. The gospel is intended to wound the conscience, and to go right through the heart, with the design of separating the soul from sin and self, as the corn is divided from the soil.

Our object is to cut the sinner right down, for all the comeliness of the flesh must be slain, all his glory, all his excellence must be withered, and the man must be as one dead ere he can be saved.

Ministers who do not aim to cut deep are not worth their salt. God never sent the man who never troubles men’s consciences.

Such a man may be an ass treading down the corn, but a reaper he certainly is not. We want faithful ministers; pray God to send them.
