There has always been political unrest in America as that is the nature of politics, but we have never seen the levels that we are seeing today. Growing up the worst I remember seeing were the riots in the 1968 Democrat convention in Chicago. There was massive opposition to the Viet Nam War and there were several extenuating circumstances that were brought to a boil at the start of that convention.
As the Democrats gathered in Chicago that summer, their party and the nation were in turmoil. President Lyndon B. Johnson had announced that he wouldn’t seek reelection, and an obvious alternative hadn’t yet emerged to lead his party. The country was reeling from the assassinations of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. in April and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy on the June night he won the California presidential primary. Major cities were rocked by riots, college campuses were gripped by peace protests, and the Vietnam War was raging toward its peak.
All of this came to a head in Chicago. Haynes Johnson, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter who was covering the convention, wrote in a 2013 Smithsonian Magazine story that the convention was “a lacerating event, a distillation of a year of heartbreak, assassinations, riots and a breakdown in law and order that made it seem as if the country were coming apart.”
But the scene in Chicago was particularly apocalyptic. As the convention prepared to launch, thousands of antiwar protesters flocked to the Windy City, where thousands of authorities — Chicago police, Army soldiers, National Guardsmen and Secret Service — were braced and waiting.
The two sides clashed with mounting violence, culminating in the so-called Battle of Michigan Avenue on Aug. 28. As the protesters marched toward the convention site, the police set out to stop them, wielding tear gas, rifles and clubs. Onlookers and innocent bystanders — including reporters covering the scene and doctors attempting to offer medical help — were brutally beaten by the police, according to archival news accounts. 1
A couple of years later at Kent State University, there was a protest with the destruction of property like we have seen at Berkeley recently and students being physically violent towards the National Guard that had been brought in to help maintain the peace. This violence against the Guard resulted in twenty-nine of the soldiers, fearing for their lives, opening fire on the students.
Eventually, seventy-seven guardsmen advanced on the protesters with armed rifles and bayonets. Protesters continued to throw things at the soldiers. Twenty-nine of the soldiers, purportedly fearing for their lives, eventually opened fire. The gunfire lasted just thirteen seconds, although some witnesses contended that it lasted more than one minute. The troops fired a total of sixty-seven shots. When the firing ended, nine students lay wounded, and four other students had been killed. Two of the students who died actually had not participated in the protests.
These shootings helped convince the U.S. public that the anti-war protesters were not just hippies, drug addicts, or promoters of free love. They also included middle and upper-class people, as well as educated people. Rather than causing a decline in protests, the Kent State Shootings actually escalated protests. Many colleges and universities across the United States cancelled classes for the remainder of the academic year in fear of violent protests erupting on their campuses. In 1970, The Ohio State University dismissed its Spring Quarter classes in early May rather than in June because of protests at this institution. Other Ohio institutions followed suit. Kent State University immediately closed with the shootings on May 4, and did not offer classes again for six weeks, when the summer term began. 2
I do not believe that we have seen this level of opposition of one party against another since that time. There was opposition to Reagan when he was in office, but nothing compared to what we are seeing today. The Deep State that has been exposed has been in the works for a very long time. It has support from all three parties, Democrat, Republican and Independent. That is why we see RINOs like John McCain, John Kasich, Mitt Romney and others opposing President Trump. He is exposing and dismantling the Deep State. But the biggest opposers to this is the Democrat Party as they were also the biggest players in the opposition to the Viet Nam War.
We have seen the rise of Antifa. Worthless cowards that do, as Hitler did in the 1930s, blame conservatives for the things that the liberals do. Merriam-Webster defines fascism as:
a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. 3
Notice that it states a government headed by a dictatorial leader with forcible suppression of opposition. Keep in mind that these fools call themselves Antifa because that are supposedly against fascism, but their actions are 100% fascist. Hitler used his Brown Shirts to suppress his opposition until he had gained enough power and then he simply killed all his opposition.
It goes without saying that 90% the opposition to Trump comes from Democrats, i.e., liberals. Reagan stated years ago:

This is exactly what we are seeing. One of the biggest funders of this opposition is billionaire George Soros. He has his hands in many different organizations that are designed to build a foundation for a socialist America.

David Kupelian, managing editor of WorldNetDaily.com and editor of Whistleblower magazine calls Soros a “God-hating atheist, a self-hating Jew, a capitalism-hating socialist, and an America-hating globalist.” That is just the start. He supports euthanasia, legalizing drugs, socialism, gay rights and global governance. He opposes free enterprise, Israel (even though he is a Jew) and U.S. sovereignty. He wants to devalue the U.S. dollar, telling the Financial Times in October 2009 that “an orderly decline of the dollar is actually desirable,” even though Americans would suffer if it were to happen.
Soros wants to replace the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency and replace it with “a new currency system.” If that were to happen it would have a catastrophic effect on the U.S. There is a huge demand for dollars in the world because the dollar is the world’s reserve currency. Every nation must use dollars to buy oil and other commodities in international trade. This keeps the demand for dollars high. 5
Since this is common knowledge I question why Congress allows this lowlife, and he is a lowlife, to continue to operate as a seditionist against America. Remember he worked with the Nazi’s against his own people, the Jews, in confiscating their property stating that it was the “Happiest time of his life.” 6
This is what is beginning to tear our country apart from the inside. Our Founders would never have allowed this to happen and we should not be allowing it to happen either. Virtually all the opposition to what is the best for America comes from the liberals and they are beginning to show that they no longer will allow opposing views.
