Americans, While Living In A False Peace with This World, Do You Not Understand That You Are At War With The Living God?

“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” -2 Thessalonians 2:7

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” – 1 Thess 5:3

One of the questions that I put to myself day after day is, why are people okay with giving a pass to what is going on in their country, especially those who claim to belong to the Lord?

Thomas Aquinas was correct when he said, “He who is not angry when there is just cause for anger is immoral. Why? Because anger looks to the good of justice. And if you can live amid injustice without anger, you’re immoral as well as unjust.”

After all, the sincerest form of Christianity is to love what the Lord loves, and to hate what it is that He hates (Psalm 97:10; Hebrews 1:9).

How is it that Americans (81% professed Christians) are okay with heretics in the pulpits, false teachers and prophets, or a corrupt said representative government that is at war with their God (Micah 3:5; 1 Timothy 4:1)?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to murder their own children (2 Kings 24:4; Proverbs 6:17)?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to rape their own children without being held accountable on this earth (Luke 17:2)?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to create unconstitutional wars at the cost of the blood of their sons and daughters (Amos 4:10), as well as the innocent in the countries that are attacked?

How is it that the American people are okay with the attack on the God-ordained institution of marriage in hopes of normalizing what He clearly condemns (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13)?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to lie to the people day in and day out without being held accountable by those same people?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to tax the people into oblivion, illegally reallocating monies to unconstitutionally bureaucracies, and robbing them blind to their own temporary advantage (Luke 22:48).

How is it that the said American church and representative government are okay with treasonously alluring into this country those who mean to conquer (Deuteronomy 28:43)?

How is it that Americans allow their said representatives to even go so far as to label their own people (Luke 22:48) as domestic terrorists (Leviticus 26:17; Revelation 12:10)?

Or what of those being allowed to poison the food, water and air supply?

Americans have allowed most of the churches and government to war against what our forefathers and the black robed regiment fought and sacrificed themselves to give to us, namely, their posterity (John 15:13).

What is worse, the people in this country know that this is what is going on in their own churches and within the halls of their own government (Jeremiah 5:28).  Yet, for the most part, they do nothing.

I ask, a simple question, how are the people at peace with a world that is at war with the God that they claim to love and serve (Matthew 22:37-39)?

How can the children of God look the other way when it comes to what the Lord condemns (Matthew 24:12)? This is living in a deceptive bubble which is known as a false peace! A said peace without truth is a false peace, and an attempt to establish it will bring a war with the Lord. Why?  It’s because the first casualty to this war is to omit the truth of God. Biblical peace is not passive, it is bold because it lives in Christ (Proverbs 28:1).

Are we, as the people who claim to be His, not to keep His commandments, His judgments, and His statutes that we may know righteousness and peace within (Isaiah 51:4)? Of course, we are (Deuteronomy 4:6; Proverbs 7:2)! Without obedience we will not know peace (1 John 5:3).

And what will be the response to them by the Lord who fail to do so in response? He brings judgment upon the people’s rebellions, which just happens to be what it is that the people tolerate (Leviticus 26:16; Deuteronomy 28:68).

Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Remember, in Matthew 10:34, Jesus SAID, “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” How and why is this? In John 7:7, Jesus tells His brothers, “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.” His truth divides people.

Because we love Him (Romans 5:5), we are going to be hated for His name’s sake (Matthew 10:22).

The prophet warned us long ago what would happen if we failed to fall in line with the Scriptures (2 Chronicles 20:20):

“They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.”– Jeremiah 6:14

Ezekiel 13:10 tells us “Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:”

What should the fruit of a Christian look like to the world in obedience to the Lord? JC Ryle answers this for us.  He said, “A true Christian is one who has not only peace of conscience (with knowledge), but war within. He may be known by his warfare as well as by his peace.”

In conclusion: The reformer Martin Luther found peace with God through justification by faith alone. Yet, in finding this peace, he discovered he was at war with the world.

Friends, We must not only assert the truth; we must attack the evil and the false in obedience to the Lord that we might know His peace (Ephesians 5:11).
