It was prophesied from the beginning that there would come a deliverer, a savior of men.
Throughout history, God provided signposts that marked what this savior would be like and how we could identify Him.
He showed us what the savior would do through types and antitypes in history. Finally, He sent the Savior in due time.
That savior was God Himself, born of a virgin, wrapped in human flesh, born under the law and died at the hands of wicked men so that He might reconcile men back unto God, saving them not only from the wrath of God due their sins, but also from the sins themselves.
