Anti-bullying activists doing what they do — bullying. Perfect. Is there a better example of the hypocrisy of the left? Anti-bullying and LGBT activist Dan Savage has been known to share his blunt take on conservatives in the past, and now he’s taking aim at first lady Melania Trump.
On his podcast, Savage went on a rant about how much he dislikes the first lady, saying “Melania Trump is as ugly on the inside as she is pretty on the outside.”
Savage called her out for what he said is her quiet support of her husband’s policies.
“I’m not alone in loathing Donald Trump’s third wife — she’s married to a misogynist after all. Odds are good her husband hates her too,” he said. “But there are some folks on the left who not only don’t hate her, they view her as some sort of sympathetic figure. The pretty princess in the tower locked up by the orange ogre with the bad combover, a princess desperately blinking out distress signals during swearing-in ceremonies and inaugural balls.”
[…]But despite what Savage may think, the first lady is popular. Melania Trump’s approval rating is at 52 percent — up 16 points since President Trump took office.
