Biden: These Violent Republicans are the Real Threat

In the aftermath of the Trump assassination attempt, some Democrats have begun delivering speeches calling for calm and unity. That includes Biden’s post-assassination address. 95% of the speech is fine. But where were the speechwriters issuing those calls for coexistence and tolerance in an administration that has spent the past few years whipping up paranoia and hate of the opposition?

Still, maybe the close call was a shock to the system. But let’s take a closer look at Biden’s speech.

Tonight, I want to speak to what we do know. A former president was shot, an American citizen killed, all simply exercising their freedom to support the candidate of their choosing. We cannot. We must not go down this road in America. We’ve traveled it before throughout our history. Violence has never been the answer, whether with members of Congress in both parties being targeted and shot, or a violent mob attacking on January 6th, or the brutal attack on the spouse of former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, or intimidation of election officials, or the kidnapping plot against a sitting governor, or an attempted assassination on Donald Trump, there is no place in America for this kind of violence or any violence ever, period, no exceptions.

Spot what all the other examples besides the attempted assassination of Trump have in common: they’re things that Democrats and the media blamed on Republicans. No mention of the Justice Kavanaugh assassination plot or the BLM riots in 2020. Or the more recent nationwide Hamas riots.

Broken down into details, the contention here is that it’s Republicans that are the really dangerous threat. Lest you think it’s a coincidence, it’s the same message being put out by the media. And that puts a whole other spin on the speech.
