Did Bill Clinton actually mean what He said about Muslims?

There is no doubt that though former President Bill Clinton is one of the most polarizing figures of the 1990’s, one cannot deny his communication skills. Usually, by sheer words, timing, and clarity, Bill could and has swayed a nation. The very skill, which so infuriated his opponents, was as powerfully on display Wednesday night as ever before.

Bill Clinton was a guest on The Late Show with Seth Meyers Wednesday. Clinton’s many detractors notwithstanding, he had, and has, the ability to communicate like few Presidents before him and none after him. He is clear, firm and unwavering. Unlike the choppy and unsure style of Obama or the wordy and bumbled speaking of Bush.

Which Candidate Do You Support in the Republican Primaries?

There is no doubt that our dispensational friends had good reason to think that Bill was the anti-Christ. He was able to talk you into believing almost anything. He brought parties together and was able, even with a Republican Congress to get things accomplished.

Now that I have got all that out of my system. He is a terrible man with worse political views. However, he said something that has needed to be said (at least by a Democrat) for several years now.

When asked about the attacks in Paris, Bill, in classic form, with several qualifications, said that the Muslims perpetrated the world’s largest double standard. He said:

“You read the profile of the two guys most prominently involved in the killing and how they got sucked into this by somebody essentially using religion and religious politics to advocate the world’s greatest double standard. If you come to our country, we won’t let you worship the way you want. We won’t let you say what you want. They won’t let you do what you want to do. However we have come to your country, therefore, we have a right to do whatever we want to do, including kill you if you make us mad.”

Finally! It is about time that we see a liberal Democrat say something about the Muslim in a negative fashion. He also said this concerning Muslim Leaders:

“I agree that Muslim leaders have to do more to combat the extremists.”

The question then, is this the message that Hillary wants to send? If Bill went out on his own on this topic, no one would be surprised. He is not running for office, but it seems to be bad timing. Did I mention that Bill usually has impeccable timing?

It seems that Hillary may be trying to hedge areas in which the current administration could hurt her in a run for the White House. This would help get ahead of the lambasting she would be likely to face from any Republican opponent on the administration’s refusal to point to the Muslims on terror. How easy it would be to point out the fact that we have no chance against an enemy we do not know or understand.

No matter the reason, it is hopeful news. Maybe because “Pope Bill I” has said it, the rest of the cool aide drinking liberals might start saying the same thing. Though, it is unlikely.

We can see what I mean in the story that appeared in the Washington Post. Jaime Fuller thought that the most important part of what Bill said was his dodge about the Presidential election (see below). In her piece, “Bill Clinton’s Great Response to Seth Meyers’s Question About Where He Will Live in 2016,” she mentions the discussion but never gives Bill’s answer.

Why do you think this was her focus? Yes, whether or not Hillary will run is important news, and the whole world waits with baited breath. But do you not think that the former president’s response to the attacks in Paris is worthy of mentioning? Not one sentence? Not One?

This points to what we have said all along; the press is not free. Its bias binds it just like the rest of us. Maybe, Bill’s water carrying will loosen the binding enough for the truth to slip through.

Editor’s Note: Clinton still tries to hold the line about straddling Islam and “extremists.” There he continues to provide cover for them.
