A woman slammed on the brakes of her car, jumps out, leaves the car in drive and it crosses the median, slamming into two other vehicles. The outrageous thing about it? At first, she was arrested on suspicion of DUI, but released. She was not charged with wreckless endangerment and she walks free today.

The driver behind 22-year-old Jasmine Lacey captured the entire incident on video by using his dashcam and posted it to YouTube.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Lacey appears to be all over the road as she is crossing the center line several times. She was speeding up and slowing down.

The young woman slammed on the brakes of a 2010 Hyundai Sonata  in front of him, got out, leaving the door open, and appeared to step up onto the sidewalk and casually begin walking down the street. The car crossed over the median and headed into oncoming traffic where it hit two SUVs.

The crash took place on September 1 around 3:45pm.

She was taken to the hospital for “a non-injury-related reason.” California Highway Patrol did arrest her on suspicion of DUI.

“She was unable to clarify a statement because she was so intoxicated,” the sergeant said.

However, they released her due to insufficient evidence to support a criminal complaint, according to San Gabriel Valley Tribune.

Drivers of the other vehicles had minor injuries.

One has to wonder whether or not she should have been charged with wreckless driving and endangerment as well. One also has to wonder why police did not charge her with driving a vehicle without a license plate.

Calls to CHP resulted in no new information regarding an update to the story as to whether Lacey will face any charged related to a possible stolen vehicle she was driving or the endangerment she put fellow drivers in. Today, nearly two weeks later, she is a free woman. What is going on here?
