Brett Kavanaugh Viciously Denies Ford’s Allegations & Blasts Slandering Democrat Senators In The Process

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh came out swinging in his opening statement following the emotional testimony of Dr. Christine Blasely Ford.  Not only did vociferously deny the allegations against him brought by Ford and other women, but he tore into Senate Democrats for their lies about him.

Kavanaugh was visibly angry, and understandably so, called the attacks on him calculated.  All of us can fully understand that who have paid attention to the timeline.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“I will not be intimidated by withdrawing from this process. Your coordinated and well-funded effort to destroy my good name and destroy my family will not drive me out,” Kavanaugh said. “You may defeat me in the final vote, but you’ll never get me to quit. Ever.”

Kavanaugh wanted a hearing the following day, but was not given one and blasted Democrats over calls for an FBI investigation.

“In those 10 long days, as was predictable and I predicted, my family and my name have been totally and permanently destroyed,” Kavanaugh said. “The 10-day delay has been harmful to me and my family, to the Supreme Court, and to the country.”

“Senate, FBI, or otherwise. The committee has now conducted a thorough investigation,” Kavanaugh said. “I know any kind of investigation—Senate, FBI, Montgomery County Police—will clear me.”

“Listen to the people I’ve grown up with and played with and coached with and dated and had beers with and listen to the witnesses who allegedly were at this event,” he added.

“This confirmation process has become a national disgrace,” Kavanaugh continued.

“I understand the passions of the moment, but I would say to senators, your words have meaning,” he said.  “Millions of Americans listened carefully to you. Given comments like those, it isn’t any surprise that people are willing to do anything to make any physical threat against my family, or send any violent email to my wife.”

“This has destroyed my family and my good name,” he said tearfully.  “A good name built up through decades of very hard work.”

“This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit,” Kavanaugh said. “This grotesque and coordinated character assassination will dissuade good people from serving our country.”

Kavanaugh denied Ford’s allegations over and over again.

“I’m here to tell the truth,” Kavanaugh said.  “I’ve never sexually assaulted anyone. Not in high school. Not in college. Not ever. Sexual assault is horrific.  Allegations of sexual assault must always be taken seriously, those who make allegations must always be heard. At the same time, the person who is the subject of those allegations must also be heard. Due process means listening to both sides.”

He blasted Feinstein, though not naming her, for saying people would die if he was confirmed.  He tore into another Democrat for calling him evil and had to sit under demeaning questioning by self-professed sexual assaulter Senator Cory Booker.

Yet, it was Kavanaugh who demonstrated moral superiority, if you ask me.

“I am not questioning that Dr. Ford was sexually assaulted. But I have never done this to her or to anyone. It’s not who I am. It is not who I was,” Kavanaugh said. “I am innocent of this charge. I intend no ill will to Dr. Ford or her family.”

“I thank God every day for Ashley and my family,” he added.  “We live in a country devoted to due process and the rule of law. That means taking allegations seriously. But if the mere allegation, mere assertion of an allegation, a refuted allegation from 36 years ago is enough to destroy a person’s life and career, we have abandoned the due process that defines our legal system in our country.”

“I ask you to judge me by the standard you would want applied to your father, your husband, your brother or your son,” Kavanaugh added. “My family and I intend no ill will toward Dr. Ford or her family, but I swear today, under oath, before the Senate and the nation, before my family, and God, I am innocent of this charge.”

Judge Kavanaugh even said his 10-year-old daughter wanted the family to pray for Dr. Ford.  How is that for following the command of Christ to pray for your enemies, and yes, there is no doubt that the Democrats on this committee are not just Kavanaugh’s enemies, but enemies of America.

Sadly, all of this has come because someone didn’t care about Dr. Ford’s wishes to keep her anonymous.  Was that Senator Dianne Feinstein?

Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) received a letter from Dr. Ford weeks ago, sat on it, never questioned Kavanaugh about it, even in private, and it was Dr. Ford’s understanding that she would be held in anonymity, but she wasn’t.

Only Dr. Ford’s counsel and Senator Feinstein and her member of Congress knew about the letter she wrote.  That means that only the member of Congress and Feinstein could have released the letter.

Of course, late in the date on Thursday, Feinstein claims that she didn’t release it, it is questionable considering the fact that Feinstein has leaked information before.  She denies that anyone in her staff leaked it too, but I suppose that is up to the American people as to whether they can believe a Senator with a track record of leaking.

I’m not necessarily for Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation, but I will say this:  This entire thing is despicable and the way it was handled is despicable and demonstrates the hypocrisy of Senate Democrats.  I hope that Judge Kavanaugh will take some people to task legally for both slander and libel and break the backs of these lawless people once and for all.  I’m doubting that will happen though.
