Church Hosts Drag Queen Story Hour

Over the last couple of years, Drag Queen Story Hour events have been taking place in libraries in several states across the U.S. And now, the events are expanding to parks, museums and even a church! Yes, you read that right. A CHURCH is hosting Drag Queen Story Hour events!

Drag Queen Story Hour is where drag queens read (usually) inappropriate books to children. Some of these drag queens work at nude gay clubs, are into doing/posting porn online and some have even had inappropriate comments towards children on their social media accounts. Needless to say, these people shouldn’t be near children, let alone having story hour with them.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

But yet parents still take their children to these events. And now, even a church is hosting these demonic events.

On January 21June 25th and October 13th The Park Church Co-op, in Brooklyn, New York, hosted Drag Queen Story Hour events.

On the Facebook event page for the October 13th event, it states:

Party with your favorite drag queens at this Halloween fundraiser for Drag Queen Story Hour! Kids come dressed up! Kid-friendly performances, face painting, spooky arts and crafts, dance party, and more.
All funds raised will support DQSH programming in public schools and libraries across New York City.

On the event page for the June 25th event, it states:

What do drag queens and children have in common? They love dressing up and all things sparkly and fancy! Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.

On the church’s website it states:

The Park Church Co-op is a Lutheran ministry focused on radical love of the neighbor through welcome and invitation. We are located in an historic church building (erected 1908)  that was formerly The Lutheran Church of the Messiah. We are thankful for the foundation the faithful people of that church built over the past century. We look forward to the future, reaching out to all of our neighbors — the long-time and brand new residents — to provide relevant spiritual nourishment in these changing times.

We have many ministry partners who are members of our co-op community and look forward to forming more partnerships for the benefit of the community. From dancing to CSA distribution, children’s theater to music programs, we have offerings for everyone, and if we don’t have something that interests you, feel free to contact Pastor Amy and the Co-op leaders with new ideas.

It’s bad enough that Drag Queen Story Hour is even a thing, but now these events are being held in churches? This is unacceptable!
