Congresswoman: “Those Who Make Fun Of Members Of Congress Should Be Prosecuted!”

My goodness, the people of Florida sure can pick ’em.  Rep. Fredricka Wilson (D-FL) recently went on a tirade about those who mock and make fun of members of Congress and said that not only should they be “shutdown,” but that they should be prosecuted for exercising their freedom of speech.

First, just remember this is the same woman who continues to push a false narrative about the president.

Well, that’s true and Rep. Wilson is a liar.

However, not only is she a liar, but then she goes on to make this ridiculous and criminal claim.

“Those people who are online making fun of members of Congress are a disgrace, and there is no need for anyone to think that is unacceptable!” Wilson said.  “We’re gonna shut them down and work with whoever it is to shut them down, and they should be prosecuted.’

She continued, “You cannot intimidate members of Congress, frighten members of Congress! It is against the law, and it’s a shame in this United States of America.”

Talk like that could get someone hung in a lawful manner.

The Constitution was written to restrain people like Rep. Wilson.

The First Amendment applies to her, not the American people:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; orabridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Since they can’t write law concerning the opinions of the people, they can’t prosecute it either.

Wilson, like many anti-Americans elected to Congress better stop treading where the Constitution doesn’t allow her to tread.   These people think that the people they represent will just sit back and take it, but from the responses on Twitter, people are paying attention and they aren’t just going to sit back and take the actions and words of criminal politicians anymore.

And the mocking continued.  She thinks she’s the sheriff.

Rep. Wilson’s comments were in response to a report that some Border Patrol agents had mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and rightfully so, in a private Facebook group.

Still, the comments, though they were private, are still protected under the Constitution.  Nowhere does it state Border Patrol agents lose their right to free speech under our Constitution.

Of course, Ocasio-Cortez fabricated a lie in which she claimed that Border Patrol agents had forced illegal aliens to “drink out of toilets.”

There is no evidence of that claim, and that is actually against the law.  We refer to it as slander, but I hear crickets when it comes to Rep. Wilson on AOC’s words.

Additionally, AOC set up a fake photo op in order to present the fake narrative she and others are spewing.  That too is a crime.

I think the people of Rep. Wilson’s district need their heads examined for electing such a criminal to Congress.  For those that just woke up in her district, I suggest you begin the process to remove her and charge her concerning her unlawful threats against the American people and a threat to violate the Constitution and the rights it was written to protect.
