Coronavirus: What Does All Of The Fear Drive You Towards? The Government’s Answers, Or The Lord’s Resolve?

Yesterday, I was in the studio with my new friend, former Ambassador to the United Nations and Assistant Secretary of State Internal Organization Affairs under President Ronald Regan, Alan Keyes, to record a television show called IAMtv, which is broadcasted on ROKU across the globe. With that said, while the conversation went on, I was asked by Alan what my take is on the Coronavirus.

My first response was that this government, as long as I can remember, has always kept the people in some sort of continued state of emergency or crisis.

We had Vietnam in the 1960s, we had the energy crisis in the 1970s, AIDS, the war in Lebanon, Grenada, Libya in the 1980s, the war in Panama, Gulf War, Somalia Civil War, Bosnian War, illegal drug wars and in the 1990s. Then, in 2000 the Afghan War, the Iraq War, The Syrian War, Y2K was going to destroy EVERYTHING, 2001 it was Anthrax was going to kill us, 2002 West Nile Virus is going to kill us, 2003 SARS is going to kill us, 2005 Bird flu is going to kill us, 2006 Ecoli was going to kill us, 2008 Financial collapse is going to destroy us, 2009 the Swine Flu was going to kill us, 2012 the Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world, 2013 North Korea was going to cause World war 3, 2014 the Ebola virus was going to kill us, 2015 ISIS was going to kill us, 2016 Zika virus was going to kill us, 2020 the Coronavirus is going to kill us (Deuteronomy 28:21). Gee wiz, enough already (Jeremiah 2:19).

I said that I am not negating the possibilities of a genuine virus here, although I am questioning its origins and its authenticities.

Often, you can detect who may be the author of crisis by who plays the problem solver and who it is that profits from the crisis (Jeremiah 11:9; Mark 5:26).

Of course, that is if you are paying attention to what is happening day after day of being barraged with propaganda by the mainstream media that has a long history of not knowing how to tell the truth.  One quickly learns to question what it is he or she is being told by the powers that be.

Remember, history teaches us that the first casualty in every war is the truth.  So, it is for our part to find out just what the truth is, and you can rest assured it is not coming from the media propagandists (John 8:44).

I then went on to tell him we can always make the distinction from who and where this all maybe coming. God induced or man induced, it is important to make distinction.

God induced crisis drives you to Him and His resolve (Psalm 119:71) while man induced crisis drives you to government intervention (Isaiah 30:1-3).

The fear of God drives you to trust in Him (Jeremiah 17:7) for you are dependent upon Him in all things (Psalm 145:18).

The fear of man brings a snare and a curse (Jeremiah 17:5, Proverbs 29:25) and drives you to your dependency upon government.

Diabolical fear is like a disease that eats away at logic and the simplicity of God’s Word, and makes men depraved and inhuman.

Alan then asked where the Church’s place in all of this and shouldn’t the resolve to it be brought about by the Church rather than the government?

I responded by stating it is the Church’s business. The Church should be on the forefront of this whole issue. It is their place to bring about the answers to the world, not ignore them.

“Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.” -Psalm 91:3-7

The problem that we are having is that those who call themselves Christians do not believe.  Yes, there are ‘believers’ that just do not not believe (2 Thessalonians 3:2).

The Lord has not changed, man has changed.

“For I am the Lord, I change not.” -Malachi 3:6

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” -Hebrews 13:8

The Lord is not to meet us on our terms, but rather we are to meet Him on His terms.

“Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matthew 3:2; Acts 20:21; 2 Corinthians 7:10)

When we do, we are then empowered to deal with these issues that confront us today.

“And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.” -Acts 5:32

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” -Mark 16:17-18

If the fear pushes you to the dependency of man or government intervention, such as corralling you into mandatory vaccinations, you will reap the curse.

On the other hand, if it pushes you to the Lord, you will reap the blessing.

There are no other choices offered.
