More and more, I am wondering why we are even spending the time, resources and money on deportation of illegal aliens who commit violent crimes in the US. Why are we not providing a just punishment to fit the crime rather than taxing the citizens to feed, clothe and house these criminals and then paying for their trip back home once they get all those goodies in prison? In the latest news, a previously deported illegal alien is facing a plethora of charges as he has been accused of attempting to rape an 89-year-old woman in North Carolina.
Jose Campuzano-Ramirez, a 52-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, is charged with first-degree burglary, felony assault, first-degree kidnapping, attempted first-degree forcible rape and attempted first-degree sexual offense.
The crime occurred in Johnston County, North Carolina.
In the process of attempting to rape the woman, police were called to the scene just after 4 am on Sunday where Ramirez fled on foot.
However, K-9s chased Ramirez and after a “lengthy track,” according to police, caught him.
He was then arrested by police.
“Officers noted obvious signs of a struggle taking place inside the home,” police said in the statement.
This is not Ramirez’s first encounter with the law, and if he is released by local police, he will face his second deportation.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to Breitbart Texas that Ramirez is a previously deported illegal alien with a detainer.
“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an immigration detainer against Jose Campuzano-Ramirez, 52, an illegally present Mexican national, July 31, following his arrest on multiple charges by local law enforcement in Johnston County, North Carolina,” an ICE spokesman said. “Campuzano-Ramirez is a criminal alien who illegally reentered the U.S. after being previously removed.”
Should Ramirez be released from local law enforcement custody at any time, he will be turned over to ICE agents where he will face deportation for the second time.
Ramirez’s rape accusations come after an illegal alien given temporary amnesty by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was accused of raping a woman in the sanctuary city of Burien, Washington, Breitbart Texas reported.
Mr. Ramirez was being held in lieu of $1 million bail in the county jail pending a first court appearance.
The reason I introduced the article about deportation not working is that on Thursday, I reported on Sergio Jose Martinez, who broke into the home of a 65-year-old woman, tied her up, held a knife to her and raped her in the sanctuary city of Portland, Oregon.
Martinez had been deported 20 times!
I’m beginning to think that we cannot continue down the road we are on.
Here’s what I mean.
We need to eliminate government welfare altogether. Welfare and charity are not the business of government, justice is.
It seems they are better equipped to provide welfare than they are justice, as our justice system is overall an unjust system.
We have become so backwards that we often show far more compassion to the criminal rather than the victim and their families.
Additionally, if these people come in the country, and they commit crimes violent crimes like this, they should be facing just punishments that will ensure they never return… anywhere.
Our country was founded upon the Bible.
The Bible gives us instruction regarding the law and just punishments for crimes under the law. Things like rape, kidnapping and murder are capital crimes for which someone should pay with their life.
Our forefathers practiced these things. Why won’t we?
