Diplomacy: If We Keep Acting The Same Way That We Have Been Taught By The Older Generation, We Are Going To Get The Same Results!

“If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the truth of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at the moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Christ. Where the battle rages, there the loyalty of the soldier is proved. And to be steady on all the battle fields besides is merely flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.” – Martin Luther

Yesterday, after doing a radio interview with an older guest, I have to tell you that I felt let down by the older generation that has gone before us in the way that they deal with issues that we all now have to face (Psalm 78:9).

Instead of leading the way and taking the Word of God and the US Constitution for what it says and acting accordingly to bring about the change that is needed, it seems to be the very point where I see them miss the resolve that they claim they so desire.

I see the older generation, over and over again, playing the diplomats, which is seduction in another guise, or failing to come up to the level of expectation as to what it is going to take to bring about change. They compromise at this point.  Compromise is nothing more than two men both agreeing on what they know is wrong (Mark 8:15).

They seem to say what needs to be said, but stop at the line of change where it needs to be crossed!

For example, we recently had an older guest on our show and we were talking about the crimes of a corrupt politician. I brought into the conversation the lawful idea of impeachment and prosecution only to get a diplomatic answer (Matthew 23:3).

I did this all the while knowing that the guest I had on the radio has the lawful authority to bring about articles of impeachment and, in the end, prosecution (Article 2, Section 4 & Article 1, Section 3 Clause 7 U.S. Constitution).

Friends, laws executed unto judgment bring about righteousness and peace (Isaiah 51:4, 26:9; Article 2; Section 3 U.S. Constitution). For some, it is just too extreme or too radical to bring about the things that are required to bring about change, especially when the Lord commands us in doing so (Proverbs 7:2).  I might add, a little common sense is warranted here too.

After listening to the guest for several minutes, the guest highlighted the crimes of a local politician. It was as if he was saying what needed to be said, but what really needed to be done was out of sight and out of mind.

His conclusion seemed to be that the innocent will continue to suffer at the hands of the unlawful and tyrannical politician because it was going to go no further than his words, which is exactly the place that America is in today.

I guess what is needed to bring about resolve was too extreme to put a lawful stop to corrupt politicians and their crimes and send the message that “We the People” will not tolerate their crimes any longer.

One thing is certain:  If you do not obey God’s commands, then you will surely get man’s lack of resolve (Mark 7:13)!

How do you help a people that do not help themselves? At this point, you can see that if we take on the older generation’s mindset that we are then courting our own destruction (Amos 6:3)

As a matter of fact, in many cases, this is what we have accepted across the country. These are, in many ways, the self-elevated gate-keepers.

Somehow or another, these are the ones that the people have accepted as the standard, the ones to keep everyone in line, and that to our own demise.

Look at the politicians.  They talk of the corruptions of their colleagues and yet, do nothing to put a lawful stop to them (Psalm 12:8).

Their profession of being the guy that will take it to them then all goes for naught because they say that they have a reputation to keep (Philippians 2:7-9).

They are worthless and their inactions prove just how worthless they are in the capacity they have been given (James 2:14-26).

Look at the professors in the Church today.  What do they do but forfeit their God-given position and yield to the corrupt in government (Deuteronomy 17:9)? This is the very corruption, might I add, that the Church in America is supposed to be correcting, but that which they unbiblically teach their congregants to submit (Isaiah 59).

THEY ONLY GO SO FAR AS TO KEEP THEIR CURRENT COMPROMISED POSITION IN PLACE – AND KEEP EVERYONE IN LINE CONCERNING THE STATUS QUO.

No wonder why most Americans today have shown more compassion for the criminals than they have the innocent.  They have been taught to do so (Luke 7:35)!

The good thing is that Christ is the standard, not corrupt and reprobate man (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5). We are to follow Him and His commandments, and Him alone (1 Corinthians 11:1)!

To counter this nonsense, let’s look at the other side of this point that I am now making.

When I think of such quotes by Watchman Nee as, “By the time the average Christian gets his temperature up to normal, everybody thinks he has a fever,” I take it to Scripture, and Scripture tells us that we are to be “flames of fire” (Hebrews 1:7).

Friends, Scripture is clear when it tells us that God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19). We are not to limit Him in any way (Psalm 78:41). He tells us to prove Him and His Word (Jeremiah 33:3).

As a matter of fact, Jesus told us that we would do greater works than He did (John 14:12). He said that the world itself could not contain the books that should be written (John 21:25). How and why do Americans settle for man’s resolve?

In knowing this, how is it that America is in the position that she now is in?

Americans have put themselves into the very position that they are all in.  They have wickedly departed from the Lord (Psalm 18:21).

In conclusion:  Benjamin Franklin said, “Whoever shall introduce into public affairs the principles of primitive Christianity will change the face of the world.”

Americans are seriously missing the power of the Word of God and His Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:5, 4:20) by disobeying the Lord’s commands; and American Christians are, without a doubt, eating the fruit of our own compromises (2 Kings 17:33).

How is it safe to say that we should act otherwise when we see the compromise and the diplomacy from these current generations and what has been the fruit of it? Keep in mind that all of this has done in the face of those who sacrificed themselves for our freedoms (John 3:16; Romans 1:22).

The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? (Jeremiah 8:9)

Friends, the best we have today are the ones leading us to the very standstill that we find ourselves in, and it is for us to change that!
