“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because you [O Priest] have rejected knowledge” -Hosea 4:6
America, like Israel before us, has fallen under judgment because of the ignorant teachings that are so prevalent among America’s pastors. In the Old Testament, the primary function of both the priests and prophets was to accurately teach the Lord’s people the ways of the Lord. God, through the prophet Hosea, pronounced judgment against Israel’s spiritual leaders for not accurately knowing, understanding and teaching God’s law.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.” -Hosea 4:6
Meanwhile, Israel’s true prophets were being ridiculed, rejected and murdered as troublemakers and extremists for proclaiming that God was about to judge their nation for departing from His divine law.
Fast forward to present-day America. America is on the verge of a judgment that will result in another America Revolution / Civil War because many of our pastors are theologically ignorant of what God’s Word teaches and as a result are leading the nation directly into the hands of the enemy. Like the prophets of old, their false teachings “Strengthen the hand of the evil doers.” (Jeremiah 23:14)
John MacArthur, pastor of Grace Community Church, has been teaching the Church for years that according to Romans 13, believers need to bow down and obey all the decrees of Caesar because of his unbiblical interpretation and application of this text. This lie is exposed in my Americanism video Lie #1: “We Must Submit to Every Law of Human Government” Now, Pastor MacArthur, is reaping what he has sown for so many years as he is being forced to live under this incorrect interpretation. Thankfully, he is now defying his own teachings by defying his California tyrant and holding worship services in accordance with God’s law.
Now, the 2020 presidential election has just exposed more theological ignorance coming from America’s pulpits. Pastor Robert Jeffress, Senior Pastor of the 14,000-member First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas was just quoted in an article on Fox News titled “Biden is president-elect — how should Christians respond?” Like John McArthur before him, he also cites the unbiblical interpretation of Romans 13. In this article, he states: “Paul didn’t give us any wiggle room — his command applies all the same, whether the emperor was the faith-friendly Constantine or the evil emperor Nero.” Funny, that is a little different message than the one found in the Book of Acts where the followers of Christ declared that the people DID NOT have to obey the decrees of Caesar because he was outranked by the King of Kings [See Acts 17:6-7].
I met Dr. Jeffries at a Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington DC in 2019. After he spoke to the attendees, I met with him and even presented him with a copy of my book: “An Appeal to Heaven: A Cry for Divine Justice,” which he obviously never read. Had he read it, he would understand the universal chain-of-command and how God’s law supersedes man’s law. There is a Supreme Ruler of the Universe and He is King Lawgiver and Judge. And His Divine law is full of warnings about the dishonest use of weight and balances (Proverbs 20:10; Proverbs 11:1; Proverbs 16:11; Proverbs 20:23; Hosea 12:6-7; Amos 8:4-8; Micah 6:10-13). Regardless if you voted for President Trump, Mr. Biden or a third-party candidate, Americans should demand a fair and balanced election and if the wicked (on either side) are playing monkey business with the scales (votes), it needs to be exposed and these people prosecuted. That is what Romans 13:4 teaches!
If the American Christian Church continues to follow these blind shepherds who “Twist Scripture to their own destruction” (2 Peter 3:16), next, they will be telling you that it is God’s will that you get in the boxcars according to your governor mandates. As it was in the Old Testament, so shall it be when judgment falls upon America. It will first fall on those leading the house of God.
“Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” (Ezekiel 9:6)
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)
“Hear this, O priests! Give heed, O house of Israel! Listen, O house of the king! For the judgement pertains to you…” (Hosea 5:1)
