Despite they hypocrisy of the left, sometimes one of their own says or does something so egregious that there is no way that they can defend it without looking ridiculous themselves. Such is the case with California Representative Maxine Waters, who after repeatedly saying that she was trying to get President Trump impeached, thought that she could backtrack on her comments.
In the following video, Right Wing News looks at this amusing situation where after leading an anti-Trump crowd at a Tax Day march in a chant of “Impeach 45” and tweeting that “The President is a liar, his actions are contemptible, & I’m going to fight every day until he’s impeached.” She claimed to have never called for Trump’s impeachment. It’s so bad that even MSNBC hosts mocked her and Politifact gave her a ‘Pants on Fire’ rating. Truly hilarious.

Though an overwhelming number of Democrat politicians have been quite unhinged in the wake of President Donald Trump’s election and subsequent efforts at rolling back the dubious legacy of his predecessor, few have been more outspoken in their opposition than California Rep. Maxine Waters, who has repeatedly demanded that Trump be impeached.
Thus, it was quite astonishing when Waters denied ever calling for Trump’s impeachment during an appearance on MSNBC that literally took place just days after Waters had led an anti-Trump crowd at a Tax Day march in a chant of “Impeach 45,” according to The Daily Caller.
In fact, Waters was asked by MSNBC host Craig Melvin about a tweet she had sent on just that morning that mentioned the impeachment of Trump, which she flatly denied even as he read the tweet back to her verbatim.
That tweet read, “The President is a liar, his actions are contemptible, & I’m going to fight everyday until he’s impeached.”
Her stunning denial was even too much for some of the other hosts and reporters at MSNBC, who had a bit of fun at Waters’ expense later in the week by mockingly pointing out the several times she had demanded impeachment.
Indeed, the sudden backtracking and blatant lie told by Waters — as if she wasn’t caught on video — was so egregious and obvious that even the left-leaning fact checkers at Politifact felt compelled to award the congresswoman with a rating of “Pants on Fire” for claiming ludicrously that she had never called for Trump’s impeachment.

Counting at least four separate occasions in which Waters had spoken of impeachment, Politifact concluded, “She has at times called for investigations that could lead to Trump’s impeachment, rather than calling for impeachment directly. But on at least two occasions … she did call for Trump’s impeachment directly, in one case literally cheerleading for impeaching Trump at a rally at the U.S. Capitol. We rate her claim Pants on Fire.”
This is pretty funny, and goes to show that even as much as certifiably insane Democrats are coddled and protected by their liberal allies in the media, they can nevertheless still be utterly abandoned if they venture a bit too far out on a limb, and be left dangling in the wind with no friends or overt support.
