“Radical” Islam is a widely recognized threat to United States’ security, Judeo-Christian values and our very lives. We hear frequent reports of how ISIS is busy recruiting and radicalizing both children and adults.
But have we ever been alerted to the threat of radical Christianity?
The NSA officially lists Bible-believing Christians to be a top security threat to our nation. Seriously? Most professing Christians in the USA are not a threat to anything—not to an increasingly corrupt American society, not to perverted religious and government systems, and certainly not to Satan himself.
“Radical” according to Webster’s New World Dictionary means “of or from the root or roots, foundation or source of something; fundamental; basic: …favoring fundamental or extreme change…”
Radical Christians are indeed among us. They are few in number, but do pose a real threat to our nation. Even though these people are not bent on taking over every government, educational or economic institution, they are uncompromisingly devoted to infiltrating every area of society, reaching as many people as possible with the truth that can set them free. They are wholeheartedly committed to helping bring about the most fundamental change we need in our nation and in all nations—the transformation of human hearts.
Radical Christians are a clear and present danger to all those determined to disregard God’s Word and reject the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. These radicals know when Christ changes a person from the inside out that those changes influence every area of society. Families change for the better, businesses change for the better, educational institutions change for the better, even governments can change for the better.
These people are characterized by hardcore truth, love, grace and mercy which they aptly declare and demonstrate everywhere through the power of the Holy Spirit. Though the world at large is becoming more and more hostile to them and their God-given agenda, they press on regardless of the increasing demonic resistance to their efforts. Threats, intimidation, and sanctions serve only to add fuel to their zeal.
Evil religious and political leaders of today who encounter such as these are sometimes forced to echo the question asked by a similar group long ago in Acts 4:16a, “What shall we do with these men?”
In that day they came up with an executive order which basically said: ‘You guys preaching the message of Jesus, who was crucified and whom you declare risen from the dead. You say He is the only Savior. You guys claim the miraculous power just released here comes from Him. We will not stand for this any longer! This cannot spread any further! No more speaking or teaching at all in the name of Jesus!’
At that time two radicals stood up to give their response. Acts 4:19-20 says, “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”
After receiving more threats, they joined their fellow radicals and commenced a prayer meeting. Among other things they prayed, “And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thy hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus, And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:29-31
Maybe you’ve never encountered a group, or even one, of radical Christians such as these. But be on the alert! You may come face to face with some of them sometime soon. They are the real deal. If, or when, you do meet up with them, know that Almighty God has sent them to you to threaten, and actually help break, Satan’s power over your life and to bring you the extreme changes needed by you and other people everywhere.
WARNING! You may even become radicalized, a feared enemy of the state of things as they should not be and a loyal friend of things as they should be.
