A screenshot of a tweet that reads “Americans have spent decades raping and pillaging my people. What goes around comes around.” is going viral. The tweet is made to appear that new Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib, wrote the tweet.
But she didn’t.
If you look closely at the screenshot of the tweet, you’ll notice there is no blue check mark next to Rashida’s name. Rashida’s real twitter account is verified with a blue check mark.
It appears someone made a fake Twitter account using Rashida’s name, replacing the “l” in “Tlaib” with an uppercase “I” and sent out the tweet.
