Well, don’t get your hopes up just yet everyone, but on Wednesday, Fox News reported that sources inside the Federal Bureau of Investigation are saying that after finding secret recordings concerning the Clinton Foundation and emails from Hillary Clinton‘s illegal email server on Anthony Weiner’s laptop that multiple indictments are “almost certain.”

Breaking news tonight — two separate sources with intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations into the Clinton emails and the Clinton Foundation tell Fox the following:

The investigation looking into possible pay-for-play interaction between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Foundation has been going on for more than a year. Led by the white-collar crime division, public corruption branch of the criminal investigative division of the FBI.

The Clinton Foundation investigation is a, quote, “very high priority.” Agents have interviewed and reinterviewed multiple people about the Foundation case, and even before the WikiLeaks dumps, agents say they have collected a great deal of evidence. Pressed on that, one source said, quote, “a lot of it,” and “there is an avalanche of new information coming every day.”

“I pressed, again and again, on this very issue,” Baier told Brit Hume. “These sources said, yes, the investigations will continue, there’s a lot of evidence, and barring some obstruction in some way, they believe they’ll continue to, likely, an indictment.”

If that wasn’t enough, the Wall Street Journal added a twist with the discovery of secret recordings.

Secret recordings of a suspect talking about the Clinton Foundation fueled an internal battle between FBI agents who wanted to pursue the case and corruption prosecutors who viewed the statements as worthless hearsay, people familiar with the matter said.

Agents, using informants and recordings from unrelated corruption investigations, thought they had found enough material to merit aggressively pursuing the investigation into the foundation…

The public-integrity prosecutors weren’t impressed with the FBI presentation, people familiar with the discussion said. “The message was, ‘We’re done here,’ ” a person familiar with the matter said…

FBI investigators grew increasingly frustrated with resistance from the corruption prosecutors, and some executives at the bureau itself, to keep pursuing the case.

As prosecutors rebuffed their requests to proceed more overtly, those Justice Department officials became more annoyed that the investigators didn’t seem to understand or care about the instructions issued by their own bosses and prosecutors to act discreetly.

In subsequent conversations with the Justice Department, Mr. Capers told officials in Washington that the FBI agents on the case “won’t let it go,” these people said.

We know the DOJ advised Comey to not inform Congress regarding 1,000 new emails they discovered regarding Clinton. However, the Journal adds that they seemed to be going further than that by telling the FBI to basically back off from the investigation they were conducting. WSJ wrote, “a senior Justice Department official called the FBI deputy director, Mr. McCabe, on Aug. 12 to say the agents in New York seemed to be disregarding or disobeying their instructions, these people said. The conversation was a tense one, they said, and at one point Mr. McCabe asked, “Are you telling me that I need to shut down a validly predicated investigation?” The senior Justice Department official replied: ‘Of course not.'”

We have already been told by a former FBI official that “something big is about to happen,” though there is a lot of reasons to doubt that anything will actually happen to Hillary Clinton.

So, will there be any indictments before Election Day? It’s doubtful and once the election is over, if Clinton loses, then you can expect her to fade in the background.
