Our Founding Fathers Were Against Disarming The People

“A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state; the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” -Article 2 of the Bill of Rights

“Infringed” means violated.  The Second Amendment and the right that is protected in it are under attack today. If you are on the internet a lot, you will notice there is always another debate or dispute over guns. America, let me say this very clearly, there is no gun debate.  Your rights are your rights! Do not allow your government to violate your rights. We are living in some very dangerous times in which people want you to give up your guns. If you don’t believe me, check out this quick video.

Here’s just a few of the quotes from our founding fathers about arms…

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” -Thomas Jefferson

“What country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance. Let them take arms.” -Thomas Jefferson

“A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.” -Thomas Jefferson

“The Constitution of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed.” -Thomas Jefferson

“A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined…” -George Washington

“The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes…. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.” -Thomas Jefferson

Who better to say it then them? Once again, those are only a few of the hundreds of quotations about guns from America’s founders. People are trying to take away your guns because if you are armed, you cannot be overthrown. Still, there are those who are seeking to overthrow our laws in this country. Take a look around. He who has the gun has the power.

“One man with a gun, can control 100 without any.” Vlademir Lenin

For example, I saw an article once about a Muslim who attacked a church.  He said, “Oh, it is easy, they are not allowed guns at this particular church.”

Remember, he who has the gun has the power.
