“The road to tyranny, we must never forget, begins with the destruction of the truth.” -C.S. Lewis
I have got to say that every country deserves the government that it has. This is true, no doubt.
In this country, the government is “We the People” and those who serve “We the People” who receive their delegated authority from the consent of the governed.
So, in understanding that “We the People” ARE THE GOVERNMENT AND THE SAID REPRESENTATIVES WORK FOR US, ONE HAS TO ASK THE QUESTION, WHAT IS GOING ON, AND HOW IS IT THAT THEY SEEM TO HAVE US WORKING FOR THEM (Hosea 4:6)?
In what is perceived to be American government today, there are more of those that seem to be discreet in their dealings while they transgress our laws, rather than taking off their masks and bold face attacking their constituents (Ephesians 4:14). Yet, we are seeing more of this day by day as “We the People” add strength to tyranny by standing down rather than standing up in defiance to tyranny (Daniel 3).
One such tyrant is California Governor Gavin Newsom.
This is the tyrant that wants to mandate what it is the people in California do at every given step.
These types of individuals are the same people that want to rule over your lives when they cannot even rule over their own. In other words, do as I say, but don’t do as I do (Matthew 23:3).
The mainstream media and these types of politicians are merely showing their loyalties to an alliance that will be disannulled (Isaiah 28:18), namely in pushing a contrived narrative about an alleged “virus” only to bring about forced compliance, which, in turn, equals more government control (vaccinations).
These are also of the same sort that speak much about your “safety,” hoping that you forget that they are also the ones that advocate the murder of innocent babies in the womb (Proverbs 6:17). Therefore, it should come as no surprise when we find that in this particular case, Mr. Newsom is releasing convicted criminals back onto the streets of America while on the other hand targeting the churches in his state. About our safety? Really!
Liberty Counsel, a national law firm out of Virginia, reported July 15, 2020, “Governor Bans IN-HOME Fellowship Meetings!”
Not content to ban church singing and chanting, Tuesday morning CA Gov. Gavin Newsom banned all indoor church services AND in-home Bible studies and fellowship meetings!
The Bible tells us that gathering together as brothers and sisters in Christ is an important part of our faith. Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.” In fact, the Greek word for church is “ecclesia,” which means “assembly.” Yet, CA Gov. Gavin Newsom has decreed this basic and important tenet of worship is totally banned in his state!
First, Newsom tried to limit all churches, regardless of their size, to just 10 people total in the building. Then, he banned singing and chanting. On Tuesday, Gov. Newsom issued a new edict via the State’s Public Health Officer, dictating that about 80 percent of California’s faithful may not gather for any worship, no matter how small the gathering.
As of July 13, ALL indoor services are banned in 30 counties, even IN-HOME Bible studies and fellowship. More counties may be added by King Newsom. In the other counties, the worship attendance is limited to 25 percent of building capacity or 100 people, whichever is less. But, singing and chanting is also banned, and this includes in-home Bible studies and fellowship meetings.
Yet, the very order that bans indoor church and in-home Bible studies specifically ALLOWS PROTESTS.
I am curious, friends, where did he derive his delegated authority in doing so? Again, I can give you that answer: from the ignorance of the people that he means to literally rule over!
In conclusion: Sons of Liberty’s Patrick Henry stated, “It is when a people forget God that tyrants forge their chains.”
Which one is it going to be, Americans? Will it be chains forged by tyrants or your blood-bought freedoms through Christ’s blood-bought sacrifice and the blood of so many that have gone before us (2 Corinthians 3:17; 1 Timothy 6:12)?
