Hey Kids, Ever Heard About Noah’s Ark?

Hi kids! My name is Samuel Judah and I am 10 years old. Today, I am going to tell you about Noah and his 3 sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth and their wives. We are going to learn about what God told them to do because He was going to destroy all mankind because of the evil things men and women were doing against God.

One day, God told a 500-year-old man named Noah that He was going to destroy the whole entire world because of their wickedness. The Bible says in Psalm 7:11,

“…God is angry with the wicked every day.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Noah was the only man in the world who followed God, so God did not want to destroy him and his family.

Therefore, God told Noah and his 3 sons to build a giant ark that would hold his family and 2 of every kind of animal, both male and female. So Noah and his sons worked hard to build the ark. When the time was ready, all the animals went into the ark including Noah’s wife, his sons, and their wives and God shut the door of the ark.

The rain started to pour and pour for 40 days and 40 nights. After they were in the ark for a while, Noah sent out a dove to see if it would come back with anything that would let them know the waters were descending (like a twig of a tree or something). When he sent the dove out the first time, she looked all over to rest her feet, but she could not find a place to rest, so she went back to the ark. When 7 days passed after she returned, Noah sent her out again. Finally, she returned with an olive leaf in her mouth and that’s how Noah knew the waters were abating.

One day, Noah opened the door of the ark and found that the ground was dry. So he let out all the animals that were in the ark, including his family. The Lord said to Noah, “This rainbow in the sky is my promise that I will never again destroy the earth with water.” (Genesis 9:11-16) The Lord went on to say, “Multiply and replenish the earth,” and they did.

I am glad I learned about Noah and the big ark. Next time you see a rainbow in the sky you will know what it means. Thank you so much for learning about Noah and the big ark with me!
