“Whosoever shall introduce into public affairs the principles of primitive Christianity will change the face of the world.” – Benjamin Franklin.
Recently, while speaking at Dr. Jerry Newcomb’s church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I was having a conversation with a police officer who worked at a local precinct. As we were speaking back and forth, he said to me, “I would like to save the whole world,” and I said back to him, “So would I.” As I was quickened, my thoughts were that of the Word of God (1 Corinthians 2:16) concerning the Savior of the world (John 16:33).
Friends, if we are born of the Spirit, then we will, in turn, do the things of the Spirit (John 1:13).
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” -Romans 8:14
For they are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37) and overcomers.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” -1 John 5:4-5
These have their eyes fixed upon the Author and the Finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2) and are continuously feeding on the Bread of Life (John 6:35) and come to the spiritual understanding that:
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” -1 John 4:4
And what are the desire and the fruit of those who are born of the Spirit of the living God (Mark 12:27)?
“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. … and I will make you fishers for men.” -Matthew 4:19
As well, they that are born of the spirit (John 3:3):
“And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.” -Isaiah 58:12-61:12
People that are born of the Spirit of God are not giving a gloom and doom message (worldly repentance that brings death; Go to the Lord out of the fear of consequence (2 Corinthians 7:10) of the Lord is coming back to get us out of here, as if to suggest that the Lord is going to raise up an army to take them out before the battle begins. It’s never going to happen, nor is it Scriptural. They speak as if they know more than the Lord does.
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” -Matthew 24:36.
That is another interpretation, and that interpretation comes from a bunch of burnt hippies in the pulpit still high on PCP, all coming from their reprobate imaginations (Exodus 20:4).
These that promote this false doctrine are the hippies from 50s, 60s and the 70s era. Ironically, these are the same devils in government destroying this country. Instead of correcting themselves (Proverbs 15:10; 1 Corinthians 11:32) and dealing with corruption within government and its agencies, they have thrown up the white flag in surrender to those who mean to bear rule over them, expecting God to do for them what He has commanded them to do for themselves.
We are to occupy until He comes (Luke 19:13), and in the process, we are going to keep His commandments in possessing the land as we know that the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Church (Matthew 16:15-20). The Church of Jesus Christ is to be on the offensive, not on the defensive. However, their message is that we are to be raptured from responsibility.
You see, these fearful hirelings (John 10:11-13) failed their duty and obligation before God and man and then attempt to justify by holding themselves up as the standards (succumbers rather then over comers 1 John 5:4- It shows you that they feed on the spirit of the world) rather then the Word of God (Psalm 78:9).
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” -2 Timothy 1:7
It must be another new version of the Bible, one in which I have not read or aligns itself with the original (Revelation 22:19). Oh, how Scripture flies in the face of these cowardly capitulators (Revelation 21:8), and only if their followers would read the Bible to know the difference.
“Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, forever.” -Deuteronomy 4:40
Furthermore, they think within themselves that there is a reward for those who leave off love and duty (Galatians 5:6) before God, when, in fact, they are hastening to the seat of judgment (Hebrews 9:27) to answer to the God that they failed to obey. It is not going to go well for them (Matthew 7:21-23), nor is it going to go well for the people that listen to their succumbing message (1 John 4:1-6).
I say to those that preach this hopeless heresy, “Prepare to meet thy God” (Amos 4:12).
Remember, Christians (Acts 11:26) plough in hope, not in hopelessness.
“For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.” -1 Corinthians 9:10
The great reformer Martin Luther said, “Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.”
There is another group of people that are fools for their pains as well. These do their best to scare people out of their faith. Remember, what the Lord puts into you, no devil in Hell can take out of you! They like to highlight what the enemies of God, which are very real, and America’s enemies are doing in their efforts to our national overthrow.
We have Masons, the Shriners, the Illuminati, Secret Societies, the Council on Foreign Relations, the FBI, the CIA, and the 300 people that rule the world say they are doing to us (325.7 million people in this country sit on their hands while 1.7% of the population destroys their country).
I always remind these that I am not worried about what they are doing. Instead, it is they who should be worried about what I am doing and, rest assured friends, they are.
We serve the God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible God (Deuteronomy 10:17).
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” -Deuteronomy 31:8
Furthermore, “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
“A man with God is in the majority!” –John Knox
If then we are truly saved from our sins (Matthew 1:21), then we have been promised an abundant (Spiritual) life.
“I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” -John 10:10
We have been sent to be spent on the behalf of those to whom we minister (Isaiah 6:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” -Mark 10:8
Those that are born of the Spirit of God and have overcoming faith (Colossians 3:1) overcome this world, for Heaven is above not beneath. Yet, it is His will that is to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
The Church is called to bring this world the answers, not excuses. Those who are born of the Spirit do just that, for they know that they have been empowered to change the world (Acts 17:6).
