If Obama’s Executive Order On DACA Was Illegal – So Is Trump’s

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) was a policy decision by the usurper, Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah, during his usurpation of the people’s White House.  It was not law.  It was policy that had nothing to do with law.  Now, President Donald Trump has decided to stab his supporters in the back, again, and state that he will write and executive order and break his promise to those who put him in office, again, and make DACA a part of his EO.

Fox News reports:

President Trump said Friday that he will be signing an executive order in the next few weeks which will include a “road to citizenship” for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients.

“I’m going do a big executive order, I have the power to do it as president and I’m going to make DACA a part of it,” Trump said in an interview with Telemundo anchor Jose Diaz-Balart.

“But we’ll put it in and then we’re probably going to be taking it out. We’re working out the legal complexities right now,” Trump added, but did not expand on what he meant.

Trump, who has pledged to end DACA since he was on the campaign trail in 2015 when he called the program an “illegal executive order,” said that the bill wouldn’t just be for temporary relief but would be a far more encompassing merit-based bill.

How many of Trump’s supporters are going to do a 180 on his EO?  A bunch!  I can tell you from speaking to some who will justify anything this man does.

But that’s not all.  Trump has no authority in our Constitution to put a path to citizenship in place.  Congress writes law, not the president.

So, he’s looking not only at a EO, but a bill.

“One of the aspects of the bill is going to be DACA. We are going to have a road to citizenship,” Trump told Daiz-Balart.

Trump added that “one of the aspects of the bill that you will be very happy with and that a lot of people will be, including me and a lot of Republicans by the way, will be DACA.”

What’s even more hypocritical is that after the Supreme Court ruled the other week in a 5-4 decision that rejected Trump dismantling a policy, not law, he had the audacity to tweet, “These horrible & politically charged decisions coming out of the Supreme Court are shotgun blasts into the face of people that are proud to call themselves Republicans or Conservatives.”

Right, right…. more conservative… C’mon!  The “conservatives Trump put on SCOTUS have been, for the most part, worthless in most decisions.  Alito and Thomas are the only ones currently sitting who have an ounce of constitutional persepctive.

Yet, here’s Trump doublespeak as he talks about how SCOTUS did him wrong and points the finger at how they have issued “shotgun blasts into the face of people,” and now, he’s going to turn around and go right along with it.  Hmmm, what would that be?  A nuke to the face of those same people?  Absolutely, it is.

There’s more from Trump’s history that shows even clearer the hypocrisy and how he is playing the American people in this in the Fox News report, which you can read here.

“We’re going to show great heart. DACA is a very, very difficult subject for me. I will tell you. To me, it’s one of the most difficult subjects I have,” Trump said at a press conference in February.

“But you have some absolutely incredible kids — I would say mostly. They were brought here in such a way. It’s a very — it’s a very very tough subject. We are going to deal with DACA with heart. I have to deal with a lot of politicians, don’t forget. And I have to convince them that what I’m saying is, is right. And I appreciate your understanding on that,” Trump said.

“But the DACA situation is a very very, it’s a very difficult thing for me because you know, I love these kids,” he added. “I love kids. I have kids and grandkids and I find it very, very hard doing what the law says exactly to do.”

“They shouldn’t be very worried,” Trump said in an ABC News interview in January when asked how his policies would affect the Dreamers.

“They are here illegally. They shouldn’t be very worried. I do have a big heart. We’re going to take care of everybody. We’re going to have a very strong border. We’re gonna have a very solid border. Where you have great people that are here that have done a good job, they should be far less worried. We’ll be coming out with policy on that over the next period of four weeks.”

The point is, if it was unlawful for Obama to do it, it’s unlawful for Trump to do it!

This man hasn’t even been doing what he’s telling people he is doing with the wall and security.  He’s lying through his teeth about it.

Personally, I think the states should be deciding the matter, not the federal government, but that’s me. I mean it did take them more than a hundred years to “discover” they were to be the determiners of immigration law when the states had been doing it long before then, and yes, I do consider myself a citizen of the US-occupied state of South Carolina.
