Important Facts About Each State Of The USA

Let’s start with Alabama, its capital is Montgomery and when people came to live there, there were good plantations. It became a state on December 14, 1819.

Alaska: Its capital is Juneau and it used to belong to Russia, but they sold it to America. Most people that went there were looking for gold, but if you go there today, you would want to watch out for moose and grizzly bears. It became a state on January 3, 1959.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Arizona: Arizona is a dry hot dessert and its capital is Phoenix, but there are fun things to do there like horse back riding and you can see the Grand Canyon there. It became a state on February 14, 1912.

Arkansas: The capital of Arkansas is Little Rock. Its motto is “The People Rule.” It became a state on June 15, 1836.

California: California is a beautiful state. Its capital is Sacramento. You won’t have any trouble finding thing to do there. They have military bases that train Marines, Navy Seals, and the Navy. They also make movies in Holly wood and have a Sea world, but my favorite place in California is Coronado. California is by the ocean as well and it became a state on September 9, 1850.

Colorado: The capital of Colorado is Denver and became a state on August 1, 1876.

Connecticut: Connecticut’s capital is Hartford and was it was one of the 13 colonies that turned into a state on January 9, 1788.

Delaware: The capital of Delaware is Dover and it ratified the Constitution on December 7, 1787.

Florida: Florida is a great place to go for vacation and one of my favorite things to do is to go in the ocean. Florida became a state on March 3, 1845.

Georgia: Georgia is one of the 13 colonies that also turned into a state and ratified the Constitution on January 2, 1788. Its capital is Atlanta.

Hawaii: Hawaii is a nice sunny state with a beautiful ocean. Its capital is Honolulu and it became a state on August 21, 1959. It was the 50th and final state to enter our union.

Idaho: Idaho’s capital is Boise and it became a state on July 3, 1890.

Illinois: The capital of Illinois is Springfield and it became a state on December 3, 1818.

Indiana: The capital of Indiana is Indianapolis and became a state on December 11, 1816.

Iowa: The capital of Iowa is Des Moines and became a state on December 28, 1846.

Kansas: Topeka is the capital of Kansas and it became a state on January 29, 1861.

Kentucky: Kentucky’s capital is Frankfort and became a state on June 1, 1792.

Louisiana: The capital of Louisiana is Baton Rouge and it became a state on April 30, 1812.

Maine: Maine’s capital is Augusta and became a state on March 15, 1820.

Maryland: Maryland’s capital is Annapolis and became a state on April 28, 1788.

Massachusetts: The capital of Massachusetts is Boston. John Adams lived there and became the 2nd president of the United States. Massachusetts became a state on February 6, 1788.

Michigan: The capital of Michigan is Lansing and became a state on January 26, 1837.

Minnesota: The capital of Minnesota is St. Paul. It is called the land of 10,000 lakes and became a state on May 11, 1858.

Mississippi: The capital of Mississippi is Jackson and it became a state on December 10, 1817.

Missouri: Missouri’s capital is Jefferson City and became a state on August 10, 1821.

Montana: Montana’s capital is Helena and it became a state on November 8, 1889.

Nebraska: Nebraska’s capital is Lincoln and it became a state on March 1, 1867.

Nevada: Nevada’s capital is Carson City, but I like Las Vegas a lot more. It became a state on October 31, 1864.

New Hampshire: New Hampshire’s capital is Concord and it became a state on June 21, 1788.

New Jersey: New Jersey’s capital is Trenton and became a state on December 18, 1787.

New Mexico: The capital of New Mexico is Santa Fe and it became a state on January 6, 1912.

New York: The capital of New York is Albany and it became a state on July 26, 1788.

North Carolina: The capital of North Carolina is Raleigh and became a state on November 21, 1789.

North Dakota: The capital of North Dakota is Bismarck and it became a state on November 2, 1889.

Ohio: Ohio’s capital is Columbus and became a state on March 1, 1803.

Oklahoma: Oklahoma’s capital is Oklahoma City and it became a state on November 16, 1907.

Oregon: The capital of Oregon is Salem and became a state on February 14, 1859.

Pennsylvania: The capital of Pennsylvania is Harrisburg and in case you didn’t know the movie Rocky was filmed there.

Pennsylvania: Pennsylvania became a state on December 12, 1787.

Rhode Island: Rhode Island’s capital is Providence and it became a state on May 29, 1790.

South Carolina: The capital of South Carolina is Columbia and it became a state on May 23, 1788.

South Dakota: The capital of South Dakota is Pierre and became a state on November 2, 1889.

Tennessee: Tennessee’s capital is Nashville and it became a state on June 1, 1796.

Texas: The capital of Texas is Austin and became a state on December 29, 1845.

Utah: Utah’s capital is Salt Lake City and it became a state on January 4, 1896.

Vermont: Vermont’s capital is Montpelier and it became a state on March 4, 1791.

Virginia: The capital of Virginia is Richmond and George Washington was born there. Virginia became a state on June 25, 1788.

Washington: Washington is the only state that is named after George Washington. Its capital is Olympia and it became a state on November 11, 1889.

West Virginia: The capital of West Virginia is Charleston and it became a state on June 20, 1863.

Wisconsin: Wisconsin’s capital is Madison and it became a state on May 25, 1848.

Wyoming: Wyoming’s capital is Cheyenne and Wyoming became a state on July 10, 1890.
