After the Islamic jihad massacre in Paris, French President Francois Hollande said the attacks were an “act of war,” committed by “a terrorist army, the Islamic State group, a jihadist army, against France, against the values that we defend everywhere in the world, against what we are: A free country that means something to the whole planet.”
Hollande promised that France would “be merciless toward the barbarians of Islamic State group,” and would “act by all means anywhere, inside or outside the country.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Note the marked difference in leadership between Hollande, hardly a tough guy persona, and the weak, silly verbal diarrhea of Barack Obama. He called the massacre “an attack on humanity,” while never naming the attackers or the ideology behind the attack. His foreign policy is an attack on humanity and freedom. And Saturday, John Kerry maintained Obama’s Shariah policy and would only refer to “violent extremist” groups.
Meanwhile, according to NBC, “Paris residents were using the hashtag #PorteOuverte – French for ‘open door’ – on Twitter to offer safe haven to strangers stranded after a string of deadly attacks Friday night.” Everyone is congratulating himself over this hashtag. “Twitter users in other countries,” NBC reported, “also began using the hashtag to share their delight that social media was being used for a good cause.”
“Delight?” Forgive me, but I would expect nothing less. Just because savages are at war with us doesn’t mean that we should be less human.
This hashtag is yet another sophomoric, embarrassing, preening self-indulgence of our sick culture. It is reminiscent of “Boston strong”: Really? How? After the Boston Marathon jihad bombings, the media and Boston elites refused to call the attack jihad. The Boston city government refused repeatedly to run our American Freedom Defense Initiative counter-jihad ads, but run vicious Jew-hatred ads regularly. We are en route to the Supreme Court to compel Boston to run our ads. What’s strong about Boston?
Just as bad is the Eiffel Tower peace symbol that is circulating around today. Do the leftists think the ISIS jihadis will see this and lay down their arms?
In a sign of how far from reality our elites are, as the Paris jihad attacks began Friday, the city was preparing for a conference on climate change that is set to begin there in a few weeks. It is bitterly ironic that the leaders of Western countries will converge in the city that was just hit by an enemy that they don’t admit exists and won’t tell the truth about, to talk about a threat that doesn’t exist, but which is all they want to talk about.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that the first jihadi identified in the Paris jihad act of war is a French national in his early twenties. He was from a suburb south of Paris. So here again we have a French-born Muslim who engaged in a savage act of war against the country of his birth. Two passports are reported to have been recovered from the eight jihad murderers – one from Syria and one from Egypt. The Syrian came to Greece as a “refugee” in October. Angela Merkel has opened Europe’s doors to one million of these migrants. She should resign. Today. And Obama wants to bring this slaughter here.
And a Muslim who was arrested in Germany last week on his way to Paris loaded with weapons is now thought to have been traveling to take part in the jihad in Paris.
And so once again I will repeat: There is only one common thread among all of these men. Islamic piety.
It has been shown time and time again – whether it was the Muslim doctors who tried to blow up the Glasgow airport; or the wealthy, educated diplomat’s son who attempted to bomb a plane right out of the sky over Detroit on Christmas day; or the group of 45 Muslim doctors who plotted Islamic terror raids in the US; or the rich, well-educated Osama bin Laden; or the 19 9/11 hijackers. Jihad has nothing to do with nationality or wealth or education. It is Islam. The sons of Australian doctors, herdsmen in Nigeria, rappers in Germany, doctors in Glasgow, chemical engineering students in Canada, heart surgeons in Saudi Arabia, university students in Britain, imams in America, doctors in Australia, and so forth – what brings these wildly different people together? Jihad. From the Sahara to the Kalahari, London to Lisbon, Manhattan to Madrid, Bali to Boston, Tiananmen Square to Thailand, Myanmar to Malaysia, Nairobi to Nigeria … no matter what the background, upbringing, schooling, wealth or poverty, color, what have you, it doesn’t matter. The understanding of Islam and jihad is the same, and it is the motive, the incitement to this monstrous war on the West and the East and all points in between.
And what is the overarching response by Western elites what expose and highlight the ideology behind this war? Kill the messenger.
While the Western elites pretend there is no war, Islamic State supporters on social media cheered the attack, and the Islamic State released a video exhorting all Muslims in France to kill the French in the streets by any means. The video was recorded in French. It said:
If you are sincere to Allah in your worship and in your creed and are unable to make Hijra, then operate within France. Terrorize them and do not allow them to sleep due to fear and horror. There are weapons and cars available and targets ready to be hit. Even poison is available so poison the food and water of at least one of the enemies of Allah. Kill them and spit in their faces and run over them with your cars. Do whatever you are able to do in order to humiliate them, for they deserve only this.
They are talking to the hundreds of thousands of Muslims many in the banlieues, who set tens of thousands of cars on fire every night a few years ago. They know their message will resonate with the devout, while their running dogs in the media and on the left will continue to carry water for this most extreme and radical ideology on the face of the earth.
This is war. But only one side is really fighting.
