We are currently out on the road on the East Coast speaking at ministry events and wherever we go or whatever we do, we are always ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether we’re speaking at events across America, doing our national radio program while on the road, or passing out Gospel tracts to the cleaning lady at a hotel, we are always busy about the Lord’s business. I would venture to say that 99% of people that we witness to are happy to receive the message and take a Gospel track. However, sometimes you can run into that squeaky wheel who rejects it.
Upon entering our hotel one night and coming out of the elevator, we came across a group of young ladies who were very scantily clothed, so much so that they almost looked like they could have been prostitutes. So. naturally my hand went in my pocket and I grabbed out tract. After I “pink and blued them,” as we call it, they were nice and said “thank you” and then we went on our way. Shortly after that, our two boys had to run downstairs to get a fork to be able to eat some leftover food. When they got back in, our oldest son said that the Gospel tracts we had given them were on the floor. I said in a nutshell, it is their choice what they do with them. In other words, they have the choice to to reject the message or not, but it’s our responsibility to make sure that they have the opportunity hear the truth.
Not everyone that we go to is going to accept the truth, but it is our job to make sure that they have the opportunity to hear the truth. What they decide to do with it from that point on is up to them. We are to be ready in season and out of season as the Bible says in 2 Timothy 4:2 to be witnesses for Christ. After all, as the Bible says in Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?” Not to mention the fact that we are all called to do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5). If God blessed you with hands you can pass out a tract. If God blessed you with a voice you can speak His Word. If God blessed you with your limbs you can walk to your neighbor’s house or those around you and spread the truth.
These girls we gave Gospel tracts to may have rejected message, but they could never again say that no one ever told them the truth.

So, what’s your excuse from preaching the Word? Anything good enough that will pass on Judgment Day? I think not.
