After years of not directly hearing from Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange, he emerged for a press conference and spoke about what he had been through and who was behind the attacks on him, including former head of the Central Intelligence Agency and former State Department Secretary Mike Pompeo, who was involved with the CIA in an assassination plan to take out Assange.
This is very real, and we saw it even in the Mockingbird media years ago, coming from a variety of pundits and politicians openly calling for Assange to take a bullet to the head.

And don’t think Trump was on Assange’s side either. It was Trump who praised Assange only to later claim he really doesn’t know anything about him, and ultimately it was Trump’s Justice Department that sought his extradition to the US to be tried as a spy. Yet, he was just fine with pardoning all sorts of criminals, and in particular, he pardoned some of his buddies too. Trump even offered Assange a pardon in exchange for his source, but Assange declined the offer.
