FDA Approves Midazolam Autoinjector for Status Epilepticus
“The Rafa autoinjector was developed in partnership with the US Department of Defense’s Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), with additional support from the Chemical and Biological Defense Program.”
“In addition to its use in the treatment of prolonged seizures, the autoinjector is also able to be used as a treatment for seizures resulting from nerve agent exposure.”

The Advanced Anticonvulsant System, Rafa Midazolam Auto-Injector (Rafa AI) is a single use, self-containing needle-based injection system prefilled with 10 milligrams of Midazolam. The drug is delivered as an intramuscular injection with a 22-gauge needle.”
