Think of this as the embodiment of the old conservative principle, “A government big enough to give you everything that you want is also big enough to take it away.”

A government that seized the power to tell stores and businesses across America whom they had to serve is also big enough to bar an entire class of people from entering stores.

The LA version of the NYC apartheid regime has a twist in that this isn’t just a ban on recreational or optional activities.

Council President Nury Martinez and Councilman Mitch O’Farrell on Wednesday introduced a motion that would require vaccine proof indoors at restaurants, bars, gyms, stores, spas, movie theaters, concert venues and sporting events.

Yes, the KTLA propaganda piece, “Enough is Enough” just casually snuck “stores” in there.

People can not go to the movies (these days there’s not a particularly good reason to go to the movies) or to games, but potentially banning people from shopping for food makes this move rather murderous.

Is that what Martinez and O’Farrell are proposing?

The text of their vaccine apartheid bill calls for an “ordinance that would require eligible individuals to have received at least one dose of vaccination to enter indoor spaces, including, but not limited to, restaurants, bars, retail establishments, fitness centers, spas, etc…”

There’s no apparent evidence that they’re not proposing to ban people from grocery stores and supermarkets. The vaccine apartheid bill covers “retail establishments” and apparently “indoor spaces” in general.

City Attorney Mike Feuer, who’s running for mayor, offers his own deranged rants, but doesn’t appear to be proposing a vaccine apartheid on quite the same scale. But Feuer is also more honest about his agenda for vaccine apartheid, arguing that, “requiring proof of vaccination for these activities could incentivize reluctant residents finally to get shots.”

This isn’t about science or public health. It’s purely punitive. It’s apartheid.
