I’d rather keep my rifle so I can defend myself against those illegally wielding dangerous Ginsu knives.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the FBI stats via our friends at Western Journal:
Conservative Review noted that rifles accounted for 2.1 percent of homicides and 2.9 percent of gun homicides. That’s a fairly minuscule amount when you consider what killed more people than rifles.
Rifles were definitively implicated in the murders of 297 people, although “Firearms, type not stated” accounted for 2,963 homicides.
But let’s stick to the murders we know were committed by rifles in 2018. What are some things that we know were responsible for more murders than this class of guns?
“Knives or cutting instruments,” for starters. They were responsible for 1,515 deaths — over five times more than were killed by rifles.
“Blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.)” also managed to clock in above rifles with 443 deaths.
All right, sure. But certainly your own hands couldn’t be more deadly than rifles, right?
Well, no. They were actually more deadly than both rifles and blunt objects: “Personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.)” clocked in with 672 deaths.
And keep in mind, we’re talking about all rifles here — not just the “assault rifles” that look really scary.

Maybe we should ban hands as well.
In Islamic culture, they cut them off if certain crimes are committed.

On second thought, maybe hands should be banned after the first offense, so people can continue wiping their butts and blowing their noses.

Bad People are Going to do Bad Things!
Leftists don’t seem to understand that bans don’t work, because criminals don’t play fair.
Criminals will find and use anything they want to ban, because…
…criminals do not play by the rules.
That’s why we call them criminals you idiots!
Here’s a better idea, let’s pay them a lot of money to leave town and commit their crimes elsewhere.
No way would they ever come back to town and try to commit more crimes (and maybe collect another $10,000 bonus to leave again).
What a brilliant idea!

Get yourself a gun and be prepared to defend yourself.
That’s the only solution that works because the bad guys will always find what they need to kill you.
