With the exception of a few notable patriotic celebrities, rock stars, and Hollywood people, the perception of celebrities on the left toward firearms, people who support the Second Amendment, the military, and the police is so abysmally infantile it is scarcely to be believed. It is also indicative of their wholesale ignorance of the real world, whether it be among those Americans who live in the real world and occasionally must rely upon firearms or others bearing firearms (like the police) to ensure their safety, or the role of the military, which involves killing people before they kill our people first.

Of course, in the insular bubble in which many prominent celebrities live, there shouldn’t be violence or killing. Like the five year-old who summarily rejects a vegetable they don’t like, these cases of arrested development – equipped with their veneer of intellectualism and faux morality – demonize the tools of the trade (firearms), and the people who employ them (citizens with firearms, the military, and police).

This effete empty suit, HBO “Real Sports” host Bryant Gumbel, recently slammed the National Rifle Association (NRA), calling them a “curse upon the American landscape” in an interview with Rolling Stone. “There are a few things I hate more than the NRA,” Gumbel said. “I mean truly. I think they’re pigs. I think they don’t care about human life. I think they are a curse upon the American landscape. So we got that on the record.”

And I’m glad we got that on the record, because now we know that the level at which you operate precludes your ever being part of any intelligent discussion on the subject, Bryant. If we set standards for civic participation – like voting – you would be excluded, because you obviously have no idea whatsoever as to the founding principles of this nation, or the rights of its people.

Then we have the gelatinous immensity, Hollywood director Michael Moore. How this caricature even goes out in public expecting to be taken seriously is anyone’s guess, but he does, and he’s seldom reluctant to open his slop-gobbling maw to disparage anyone and anything that represents sanity and stability in this nation.

Only after his tweet of Jan. 18 caused a furor, Jabba took to the airwaves and cyberspace to claim that his tweets were not about the film “American Sniper.” In a Facebook post, he explained his father told him snipers were “cowards” after his uncle was killed in WWII by a Japanese sniper, but Moore notes that he did not mention the Clint Eastwood film at all and that the media made that assumption.

Moore didn’t clarify why he saw fit to share his opinion of snipers immediately upon the release of the film “American Sniper.” And he’s calling “coward.”

Obviously, snipers possess invaluable skills; the cold, hard fact is that our estimation of them depends upon which side they’re on. I for one particularly relish the videos I’ve seen of jihadis getting their craniums blasted into red mist by American snipers. Just sayin’…

All in all, I hope that the unthinking, childish whining of spoiled phonies like Moore and Gumbel serves to enlighten at least a few more Americans to the incomprehensible ignorance of these so-called intellectuals, and that we should pay no more attention to them than that five year-old throwing a tantrum over having to eat his vegetables.
