“Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” -Psalm 78:41

If there is one thing that I notice more than not it is those who call themselves believers which, in fact, are not believers. Think of that, believers that do not believe; professed Christians that just are not Christians. How prevalent this is today in the American Church.

I often think about how it is that the Lord told us in 2 Chronicles 16:9: “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.”

It was the Lord God of Israel that also told us to “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not” (Jeremiah 33:3).

We are talking of the God that split the sea (Exodus 14:21), the God that stayed the sun (Joshua 10:13), that brought the fire from Heaven to devour the enemies (1 Kings 18), that healed the sick and cleansed the lepers (Acts 10:38), and even raised the dead (1 Kings 17: 17-24; John 11:40)!

We are talking of the very God that sent His Son to suffer, to bleed and to die as the propitiation for the sins of mankind (1 Peter 3:18; John 3:16; 1 John 22) to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21) by redeeming us back unto Himself (Colossians 1:12-13) through His blood.

How do those who call themselves believers live in unbelief? No wonder why the world is confused about the Church in America.

I want to leave you with this.  Jesus said to His followers in John 14:12: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

In John 21:25 it states: “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.”
