Lindsey Graham: As President I would Use the Military Against Congress

Folks, what can I say? The words of South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham are not only chilling, they are tyrannical. Graham, speaking to a group of people gathered in New Hampsire, said that if he were president of the United States, he would not allow Congress to leave Congress until his demands were met and he would use the US military to ensure they could not leave town, a clear usurpation of power by the executive branch.

Keep in mind that this is the same Lindsey Graham I addressed nearly two Saturdays ago about his corruption, has said that alleged “terrorists,” who are American citizens, would not be provided an attorney, something protected under the Constitution, and said that Barack Obama loves America and is a patriot.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

In a speech at the Concord City Republican Committee on March 7, 2015, he continued to advance the idea that we need to send more of America’s men on the ground to defeat ISIS, a group that he deemed worth of funding and training when they were in Syria. He also pushed to reverse the cuts to defense spending.

However, it was his statement that he would use the US military to make sure that members of Congress could not leave until his demands were met that has drawn attention.

“Here is the first thing I would do if I were President of the United States, I wouldn’t let Congress leave town until we fix this,” Graham said. “I would literally use the military to keep them in if I had to.”

South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright, a man I supported for US Senator in 2014 said, “If Graham is not being serious he should choose his words with more thought. If he is being serious those actions would be a threat to the republic.”

Of course, it would be a threat to the republic, but the fact that a sitting US senator said it indicates the very real threat to the republic that is already in power.

Lindsey Graham’s comments are those of a dictator, not a man suited to be president. Nowhere in the US Constitution would he be authorized to make such actions. In fact, they would trump the criminal activities of the current usurper of the White House.

If it wasn’t clear that Senator Graham has been involved in treasonously funding and training America’s enemies before, it should be very clear that he is a traitor to America’s Constitution, and as a result America’s people.

Let’s hope the neo-cons in South Carolina are awake enough not to support this guy in the primaries of 2016 like they did in the Senate race of 2014.

Update: Graham’s office told Mediaite (something they won’t even do for me, one of Graham’s employers in the State of South Carolina) that “Graham was employing over-the-top humor to win over his audience.”

So, is that how we’re doing things these days in the time of Obama? We’re using lawless humor to “win over our audience”? I say that Graham doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance of being elected as president of the United States.
