Look Across the Potomac River from Arlington Cemetery, What Did I See? Something Seriously Wrong Here!

There are over 400,000 veterans buried at Arlington Cemetery, and looking across the river, I had to ask myself, “For what did they die?”

After coming back from Washington D.C. a couple of weeks ago, I have had time to think about what I was exposed to while being there, and that on so many different levels.

One of those visits that we made while being there was to Arlington Cemetery.  It’s my favorite place to go.

Arlington is the place where over 400,000 veterans are buried.

There I get to show my children the price paid for the freedoms that we all have today ( 1 Corinthians 1:23-30).

Yet, one must ask the serious question, for what did they die?  Today, we see the modern-day politician undoing the very things that these men were sent to fight against in other countries.

Yet, when I look the other way across the Potomac River, what is it that I see? I see where the corrupt reside, those who have lied, stolen, murdered (John 10:10), the corrupt politicians in whom create many of these unconstitutional wars that feed into their fascists corporate business partners over at the military complex in making billions off the blood of the innocent (Psalm 94:20).

“Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.” -Henry Kissinger

Friends, there is something seriously wrong here and it is staring us right in the face. This is happening on our watch, and it must not be so.

There is a reason Patrick Henry stated: “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel.”

It is not honoring our fallen across the Potomac River while allowing those on the other side to send them to fight against the very tyrants that they themselves are guilty of acting just like.

If they want a war, then send them because that is how you will end that war (1 Timothy 6:12).

To honor them is to live for that which they died (2 Corinthians 5:15).  It is time to get busy doing just that.
