“But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.” -Luke 7:30
What qualifies me in covering this conversation with Mario Murillo is vast, myself being a product of what the American Church had failed to do concerning my younger years in reaching out to me (Luke 19:10). In turn, when I was born again by the Holy Ghost and what it was that He directed and led me to do in speaking at hundreds and hundreds of public schools across America (John 3:3; 2 Corinthians 7:10), I saw first-hand the fruit of the American Church and its lack of Christianity (1 John 2:4).
You will notice that during this open conversation, in the video below, I continually pressed Mario to answer the question as to who is responsible for all of the anarchists (Antinomianists: Those who have no regard for God’s law and government; Exodus 20) that have been raised up in this country.
I told him to listen to this list of statistics:
- Violent crimes up to 794%
- America is number #1 in
- Teen Pregnancies
- Voluntary Abortions
- Illegal Drug Use
- Illiteracy etc…
These were things that Mario continuously danced around.
I shared with Mario that my wife’s grandmother, who died at 98 years young, said before she died after I had asked her what it was that was being preached from the pulpits in her life responded with “Every sabbath day it was the law and the prophets” (Matthew 5:17).
Mario refused to answer the question so, I told him of the character of Jesus and how preachers in America have given the congregants the impression that Jesus is walking around with pink booties on and smacking sheep on the backside, telling the world that everything is ok. I told him that is not the character of Christ. I told him that He spoke as one having authority and not as the scribes (Matthew 7:29).
I told Mario that Jesus Himself asked His disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets” (Matthew 16:13-14).
Things just are not lining up.
I told Mario that Charles Spurgeon, the prince of preachers, stated: “Lower the Law and you dim the light by which man perceives his guilt; this is a very serious loss to the sinner rather than a gain; for it lessens the likelihood of his conviction and conversion. I say you have deprived the gospel of its ablest auxiliary [its most powerful weapon] when you have set aside the Law. You have taken away from it the schoolmaster that is to bring men to Christ . . . They will never accept grace till they tremble before a just and holy Law. Therefore the Law serves a most necessary purpose, and it must not be removed from its place.” (Read Galatians 3:24; Psalm 19:7; Mark 10:17-30).
I told Mario that the modern-day hirelings are preaching a false grace and using it as an occasion for the flesh (Galatians 5:13).
I read Martin Luther’s quote on new sects of religion: “But Satan, the god of all dissension, stirreth up daily new sects, and last of all (which of all other I should never have foreseen or once suspected) he hath raised up a sect of such as teach that the Ten Commandments ought to be taken out of the Church and that men should not be terrified with the law, but gently exerted by the preaching of the grace of Christ.”
Friends, he would not answer my question, and why would he while knowing that the modern message is exactly what he has been a part of in this country for decades.
Let me answer what Mario Murillo would not. If you want to know why we have so much anarchy, mushroom converts that need to be truly converted, rampant in America today it’s because Americans have tolerated hirelings in the pulpit that have never repented themselves. In turn, they are giving a message that counters true repentance! (Matthew 3:7; John 10:12).
We hear from these modern hirelings that they are saved and yet, they are still in their sins (1 Corinthians 15:17). Do you want me to go there, Mario?
If I were to ask a majority of these professors as to what sin is, they could not tell you what it is. Sin is the transgression of God’s law (1 John 3:4).
They cannot tell you what sin is because the law is what brings that knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20), and the law of God is that which is used to reveal sin, which then is to be used as a schoolmaster to drive us to Christ where it can do no more. This is what is missing from the modern-day hirelings and their message.
Our sins are before God and we are not going to know what they are until the preacher preaches them so that they then might repent before God. Just ask the prodigal son (Acts 20:21; Malachi 2:6; Luke 15:18).
The Bible is clear: “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).
These talk of the law as if it is a thing of the past yet, Jesus magnified it (Isaiah 42:21; Psalm 40:8; Hebrews 8:10, 10:7; Romans 3:31). They like to call it “legalism,” a word not even devised or defined back in 1828. They mean to suggest that if you obey God and His government, then that is “legalistic.”
The law was not given because God hates. He gave His law because He loves (John 15:10). After all, I serve the Lord out of gratitude for what Christ did for me on the cross (John 3:16), and I do what I do not to get saved, but because I am saved (Matthew 1:21).
Remember, love is the fulfilling of the law (Matthew 22:37; Romans 13:10).
In conclusion: Time came up on us so quickly, and I have to be honest in telling you, that we could have got to more questions if I did not have to keep coming back to the ones that he would not answer.
I asked Mario Murillo two different times if he would like to do a part two with me? I asked him a second time where he said that is the reason why he will not do a second show. If I were Mario Murillo, I wouldn’t have come back on the show either, considering the fact that he and his partners have long been a part of the pulpit problems in this country.
He was responding to my question about asking him why it was that he is trying to make people out to be haters for calling out Donald Trump for his crimes against the people (John 15:17-18). The same reason I suppose Mario gets mad at me when I call him out before God and man.
It’s interesting that he would say that due to the fact that the Bible says in Proverbs 28:4, “They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them,” and you can rest assured that we are contending with them and will continue to do so by the grace of God (Jude 3-4).
