Maura Healey, Governor of Massachusetts – Fool Me Once, Shame on You; Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me!
Fool me once – Healey’s office defended her signing of a law that legalizes abortions up to full-term birth.
Fool me once – Healey calls herself a “proud Catholic,” even as Catholic leaders called out her actions of killing viable unborn children up to the moment of birth. Wonder why these same leaders have not initiated excommunication from the Catholic church against Healey? Stay tuned to why the “proud Catholic” will face no consequences.
Fool me once -The law eliminates prior requirements that abortions at or after 24 weeks be limited to cases involving the mother’s life or physical or mental health, or certain serious fetal diagnoses. Freely interpreted, an abortion can legally be performed for any reason up to birth, as introduced by Healey.
Fool me once – Right out of the pages of George Orwell’s book “1984”, Healey recently announced a proposed mandatory “Plan for Nurse Home Visits to Newborn Families.” This would entail home visits by maternal and child health nurses to parents and caregivers with newborns — whose lives were not terminated by end-stage pregnancy.
Fool me once – Healey is defending the Department of Children and Families (DCF) for taking custody, or kidnapping, of a teenage girl after her parents refused to allow her to undergo a medical gender transition.
Fool me once – Healey has publicly committed to continuing gender‑affirming healthcare for minors in Massachusetts, including hormone therapy, even after a new federal law cuts off Medicaid and CHIP funding for such care, and the state plans to cover the cost from its own “Affirming Health Care Trust Fund.”
In 2024, Massachusetts spent $3.6 million on gender‑affirming care for minors, with over $2.6 million for hormone therapy. The state has not confirmed whether puberty blockers will also be covered under the new arrangement.
Fool me once – Healey administration made migrant families eligible for as much as $30,000 in assistance over two years; budget growth from about $9.5 million in 2022 to roughly $97 million in 2025 that benefits undocumented arrivals.
Fool me twice – The photos accompanying this article were recently posted on social media by Governor Healey engaging with babies and young children — after approving full-term abortions. Are voters going to refuse the Kool-Aid Healey is pouring and not wear the crown engraved “Fool me twice”?
