Media Applauds LGBTQ Picking Up Guns “In Response To Far Right”

Editor’s Note:  I’m glad they are enjoying their right to keep and bear arms, but to do so in response to the far right doesn’t make sense?  Did the far right target them in Orlando?  Does the far right claim they can murder them in the streets?  Yet, these same people lock arms with the very people who have an ideology like that and whose ideology has led them to murder many in that community.  I’m talking about Islam.

Do you ever get the sense that our media wants us (Americans divided by political beliefs) to bicker, argue, and fight? I do.

Every time I watch the evening news I get the sense that the people I’m listening to want Americans to be at each other’s throat.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Case in point – the media coverage of the rise in left-leaning gun clubs and leftist concealed carry permit holders.

Whether it’s the Huey P. Newton Gun Club in Texas (a black supremacist group that says they exist to protect African-Americans from white violence), or it’s a new crop of LGBT gun users in upstate New York.

The media speaks of them in excited, yet hushed, tones and explains that these groups exist to combat the specter of right-wing terror.

As if somewhere in this nation there is a massive, undulating conspiracy afoot, whereby every right-leaning, 2nd Amendment supporting citizen is preparing to use their firearms against leftwing Americans.

It’s INSANE.

But see how the AP recently reported on this new LGBT gun club in upstate New York and tell me that I’m wrong.

Here’s their title: “In response to far right, LGBTQ gun group hits firing line“.

“In response to far right”?

Has there been a spate of attacks on the LGBT community by “far right” activists in recent days, that I haven’t heard about? Are there large groups of far right activists marching on city streets chanting that they want to “fry” liberals like bacon? Or that they want to “punch” a commie? Or that there will be no “peace” without their version of justice?

Oh, wait. No. All of those examples I just cited are examples of things that leftwing protesters are saying as they march in the streets.

Here’s some of how the AP reported on the story:

Lore McSpadden never touched a gun before the Trigger Warning Queer & Trans Gun Club started this past year. Now McSpadden is among the shooters routinely yelling, “Pull!” and blasting at clay pigeons angling over a mowed field near Rochester.

Trigger Warning members are anxious about armed and organized extremists who seem increasingly emboldened. Their response has a touch of symmetry to it: They started a club to teach members how to take up arms.

“It’s a way to assert our strength,” said Jake Allen, 27, who helped form the group. “Often, queer people are thought of as being weak, as being defenseless, and I think in many ways this pushes back against that. And I want white supremacists and neo-Nazis to know that queer people are taking steps necessary to protect themselves.”

Trigger Warning members meet once a month to shoot still targets and saucer-shaped pigeons. The 18 dues-paying members are all LGBTQ, many just learning about guns.

While these leftists may not believe it, we on the right are HAPPY to see them exercising their 2nd Amendment rights.

Why? Because we know that the more Americans who exercise their rights, the more secure those rights become.

I am happy to see more African-Americans getting gun permits and learning to shoot.

I am happy to see more in the LGBT community embracing their 2nd Amendment rights, and learning how to safely handle firearms. In fact, it pleases me whenever a law-abiding American citizen exercises their 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

As long as they don’t misuse those rights to violently infringe on the rights of others, I hope that more leftists follow this example and arm themselves to defend themselves against the lawless and, if need be, against an oppressive government.

There is no reason for anyone to fear a law-abiding citizen who is lawfully carrying a firearm, so someone should tell the media that their fear-mongering about more leftwing gun owners is falling on deaf ears.
