Mexico Stops Thousands If Illegal Alien Invaders As Token Gesture – Majority Of Illegals Continue Into US

In the previous articles at Freedom Outpost where this writer reported that the Trump administration was working with Mexico on an alignment on asylum deal and Mexico issuing a veiled threat to the US after the Trump administration threatened tariffs, it was postulated that Mexico would not cooperate with the US on asylum alignment, “safe third country” agreement, and shoring up its own immigration laws.  However, it seems Mexico had a change of heart.  According to The Daily Caller, the Mexican military stopped approximately 1,000 illegal alien invaders from Central America on their way to the southern border of the united States.

Yes, that was sarcasm.  One thousand illegal alien invaders compared to the tens of thousands that are trekking from Central America through Mexico in order to get to the US border is a drop in the bucket.  It is unlikely that Mexico had a change of heart.  It is more likely the cartel controlled nation stopped the very small number of illegal alien invaders in a “thumbing the nose” gesture toward the US.

The Daily Caller reported:

Nearly 1,000 Central American migrants on their way to the United States were blocked or detained by Mexican military police Wednesday along a highway in southern Mexico.

The migrants were on their way to Tapachula from the Mexico-Guatemala border when their advance was blocked by around 200 Mexican immigration agents, federal police and military police near the Mexican town of Metapa, according to a Wednesday AP report.

And it was no easy feat, according to the report:

Unarmed agents wrestled some migrants who resisted to the ground, but the vast majority complied and boarded buses or immigration agency vans. Some migrants fainted and fell to the ground. One young man who collapsed was taken for medical attention.

Some parents sat on the pavement with their children, wept and begged authorities not to take them. Others jumped wire fences and ran into the thick forest beside the highway. [Emphasis Mine.]

Around 420 migrants reportedly agreed to be taken to a Tapachula migrant detention center to be processed, according to the National Immigration Institute, which also noted that authorities would help some return home.

So, two hundred Mexican military police apprehended some of these illegal alien invaders but allowed the ones who jumped the fence to continue their trek to the united States.  The Daily Caller indicated that “AP noted Mexico’s use of ‘raids and roadside checkpoints to discourage highway marches such as the massive migrant caravans that occurred in 2018 and early 2019,’ likely in response to U.S. pressure.”  However, according to the AP report, “In recent months Mexico has used raids and roadside checkpoints to discourage highway marches such as the massive migrant caravans that occurred in 2018 and early 2019.”  While The Daily Caller indicated this was “likely in response to US pressure”, the AP report indicated that southern Mexican towns that first warmly received these illegal alien invaders have now complained about a lack of resources to continue to feed and care for the invaders.

More than likely, the complaints of the towns, whose resources are waning and placing a hardship on the residents, are the reason for the minute change in Mexico’s stance while thumbing their nose at the US, and not a threat of tariffs.

According to the AP:

Last year, migrants began travelling from Central America in large caravans that grew as they advanced through southern Mexico, drawing Trump’s ire. The caravans offer migrants a relatively safe way to travel and are far less expensive than hiring smugglers.

They account for only a fraction of the normal migratory flow, but their visibility has given them an almost symbolic status in what Trump calls a migratory crisis at the U.S. border.

So, these caravans, travelling along the highways, are only a fraction of the AP-dubbed “normal migratory flow”, but the visibility, provided by the lamestream entertainment enemedia, gave the caravans a “symbolic status in what Trump calls a migratory crisis at the US border.”  As suspected, the majority of illegal alien invaders are still travelling through Mexico stealthily, avoiding authorities, to make their way to the southern US border.  And, as suspected, these illegal alien invaders, who traverse to the US to claim asylum, are actually fleeing “gang violence, oppressive extortion, and corruption in Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.”  Moreover, these Central American nations are suffering from an extreme drought in many regions that has devastated farming families.

While these reasons for trekking to the US are valid reasons for wanting to emigrate from their homeland, these reasons should not qualify for claiming asylum in the US, period.  Based on these reasons, US citizens who are residents of Chicago would have reason to emigrate to Canada due to gang violence and corruption.  Likewise, American farmers could claim devastating floods as a reason to emigrate to Mexico or Canada using the “asylum” claim.  While Mexico is offering more options for the illegal alien invaders to stay legally within its borders, the majority of the invaders’ goal is still the united States.

The Daily Caller covered Trump’s tariff plan, which has met resistance from Senate Republicans.

President Donald Trump’s plan to impose a 5% tariff on Mexico until the country takes a larger role in helping to curb immigration through their country has been met with staunch opposition from a significant percentage of Senate Republicans.

On June 10th, the United States will impose a 5% Tariff on all goods coming into our Country from Mexico, until such time as illegal migrants coming through Mexico, and into our Country, STOP. The Tariff will gradually increase until the Illegal Immigration problem is remedied,..

“There is not much support in my conference for tariffs, that’s for sure,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday.

Yet Mexico agreed to come to the bargaining table as Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard met with Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other U.S. officials on Wednesday. They failed to reach a deal, but Trump noted the “progress” being made, though “not nearly enough.”

Immigration discussions at the White House with representatives of Mexico have ended for the day. Progress is being made, but not nearly enough! Border arrests for May are at 133,000 because of Mexico & the Democrats in Congress refusing to budge on immigration reform. Further…

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 5, 2019

Those 133,000 border arrests are only the ones that are known.  The vast numbers are avoiding authorities and border checkpoints/entry ports to enter the US illegally.

Mexico’s representatives may be in talks with Trump, but Obrador has made his position clear while Senate Republicans are not lending support for tariffs, according to Mitch McConnell.  And, as previously postulated, Mexico will do what is in its own best interest and refuse a deal regarding “safe third country” or align on asylum if its interests are threatened.  Should Mexico enter into the “safe third country” agreement and align on asylum with the US, one can bet the corrupt, lawless, cartel-run nation will violate those tenets if its resources are strained.

Our federal government needs to answer one question:  Why are not constitutional tenets being used to exercise the authority given it to “repel invasions” (Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution for the united States of America)?  It is not the responsibility of Mexico to “work with” the US to “help” secure our own borders – the authority to protect the borders and repel invasions is the purview of the federal government, particularly the legislative branch, in our Constitution.  Make no mistake, this is an invasion that includes criminals, jihadi terrorists, and economic terrorists, who enter to crash US resources.  If the legislative branch refuses to repel invasions, the authority then falls to the States to engage in “war” due to being “invaded, or in such imminent danger as will not admit of delay” (Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution for the united States of America).

Unfortunately, the federal government neutered the States and the people have elected wusses to office who are scared of their own shadow, much less who will take a stand to defend its residents because the federal government will not.  Elected officials are in their positions, not to govern constitutionally or defend their constituents, but to enrich themselves at the expense of citizens and taxpayers.  And, our government at all levels is starting to be almost as corrupt as Mexico and Central American nations, if not already reaching that level, just on a different plane.

If the Constitution would be followed, there would be no need to negotiate anything with Mexico – the US would “take care of business” regardless of what Mexico thinks or does.  But, both sides of the aisle benefit from unfettered illegal alien invasion.  Until the citizens of this almost lost republic that oppose the status quo rise up and make their voices heard, throw those working against the Constitution out of office, and instill Statesmen who will honor the Constitution, the corrupt Washington machine will continue, as well as the corrupt State machines.  In the meantime, get ready to pucker up, friends.  A leopard doesn’t change its spots meaning Mexico is not going to be any help, but will maneuver to have some advantage while US government officials lament to the people negotiating “the best deal possible.”
