We MUST Defend Roy Moore

The media and the left are already going all Saul Alinsky on Roy Moore. Alinsky’s advice to left-wing regressives, like the Talking Snake Media, in dealing with somebody like Judge Moore, is simple: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” He goes on to advise wingers on the left to cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy.

Outside of the president, Judge Moore is the most visible conservative target between now and the senatorial election in Alabama on December 12. Extremists on the left, both in the media and in politics, will make a scorched earth effort to rid the world of Roy Moore before Christmas. And they will use the same tactics they have used with every social conservative who has unapologetic convictions on moral and constitutional issues and can’t be intimidated into shutting up.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

They will do everything in their power to isolate such an individual, to cut him off completely from the herd, and so neutralize him so that he is entirely marginalized. It’s what they do.

Here’s what they will do to Moore: they will approach every Republican they can find, read to them the most politically incorrect statements Moore has ever said, and dare the Republican to agree with him. They, in particular, will eventually try to get every Republican senator to publicly repudiate Moore and leave him utterly isolated before he even has a chance to take his seat on Capitol Hill.

Republican Senator Jeff Flake of Arizona has already lobbed the first grenade at Moore. According to CBS, “Sen. Jeff Flake said Republicans need to be more vocal in denouncing past comments from Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Alabama.”

Moore has observed that the tenets of Islam (e.g., “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them” [Sura 9:5]) are fundamentally contrary to the tenets of the Constitution, which raises understandable questions about Rep. Keith Ellison’s fitness, as a devout Muslim, to serve in public office.

But Flake said, “I think that when we disagree with something so fundamental like that, we ought to stand up and say, that’s not right, that’s not our party, that is not us.”

You can soon expect this repudiation of Moore to turn into a veritable tsunami of Republican venom arising from the deepest and darkest corners of the Swamp, from those who have yet to find a moral conviction they’re willing to stand for in the face of media criticism.

The goal is quite simple. To get Republicans and conservatives all across the fruited plain to turn their backs on Moore in an effort to persuade the public that he is a political freak, and convince conservatives that they must condemn Moore and get as far away from him as possible.

It will make no difference to them that virtually everything Moore says agrees with what God says, what the Bible says, what the Constitution says, and what the Founders believed. In fact, that’s the very reason they hate Judge Moore. He must be silenced because he is a lethal threat to their monopoly on what people are supposed to think.

We as Christians and as social conservatives must unapologetically defend Moore whenever and wherever we can. We will soon discover, because of the relentless demonizing of Moore that the left will do, that even people in our circle of family and friends will believe the worst about him.

We must quietly, courteously, and firmly defend him. There’s no cause to get into shouting matches or anything of that sort, but we must not allow ourselves to be intimidated into silence by the charges that will be made against him. The simplest and most effective way to defend Judge Moore is simply to point that he believes just what the Founders believed and what the Scriptures teach about homosexuality, marriage, judicial activism, and the threat of counterfeit religions like Islam.

George Washington, for instance, literally drummed a soldier out of the Continental Army at Valley Forge for attempting to engage in sodomy with a fellow soldier. Homosexuality was universally regarded by the Founders as a form of sexual deviancy, and every state, at the time of the Founding and until 1962, treated homosexual behavior as a felony. In other words, when it comes to homosexuality, Judge Moore agrees with God, the Scriptures, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Sam Adams, John Adams and every other Founding Father. And he agrees with Antonin Scalia, the greatest jurist of the last 50 years, as well as fellow Supreme Court justices Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito all of whom dissented in the Lawrence v. Texas opinion.

Thomas Jefferson fought our first war against Islamic jihad when he took on the Muslim pirates of the Barbary Coast after he was astonished to discover that Muslims believed “that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave.”

The list could go on. The point is the left wants to turn Roy Moore into the biggest political pariah in the history of political pariahs. He needs to know that we have his back and that if they want to destroy this fine and good man, they’re going to have to go through us to do it.
