We really need to get past all this tribalism and strongman politics by singing a few verses of, “Shoot the Boer”.
In an address Tuesday in honor of the late Nelson Mandela ahead of the 100th anniversary of his birth, Obama criticized populist movements toward authoritarianism around the world and ridiculed the “utter loss of shame among political leaders” who lie.
The politics of fear and resentment and retrenchment began to appear. And that kind of politics is now on the move. It’s on the move at a pace that would have seemed unimaginable just a few years ago,” he told the crowd of around 15,000 people in Johannesburg.”I am not being alarmist, I’m simply stating the facts. Look around — strongman politics are ascendant, suddenly, whereby elections and some pretense of democracy are maintained, the form of it, where those in powers seek to undermine every institution or norm that gives democracy meaning.”
“Should we understand the last 25 years of global integration is nothing more than a detour from the previous inevitable cycle of history,” he continued, “where might makes right and politics is a hostile competition between tribes and races and religions? And nations compete in a zero sum game constantly teetering on the edge of conflict until full-blown war breaks out? Is that what we think?”
Below that is a picture of Obama with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. Perhaps Obama can have a chat with him about this.
“The expropriation of land without compensation is envisaged as one of the measures that we will use to accelerate redistribution of land to black South Africans.”
Cyril Ramaphosa is the latest ANC strongman replacing Jacob Zuma who had been accused of corruption and rape. The ANC is closely partnered with South Africa’s Communist party.
Obama is delivering a condescending lecture about strongman politics at a day commemorating a Communist terrorist at the invitation of a government allied with the Communists.
Here’s Cyril at a Communist event.
The Third South African Communist Party Special Congress had been until Thursday a rather dry affair, dealing in the main with communistic stuff, which these days mostly involves using ‘hegemon’ in a noun, an adjective and a verb. But then Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa showed up, and things turned decidedly spicy.
“Comrade Cyril needs no introduction,” insisted an undaunted Nzimande…
“I feel at home here, Comrades,” he said, once he’d unfolded his notes, and unbuttoned his black blazer, revealing a mint-condition ANC golf shirt. He was in avuncular mode, as relentlessly charming as he’s ever been, if looking older by degrees than he did before assuming the deputy presidency. “The relationship between the SACP and the ANC is not transactional,” he began,
The SACP is the Communist party.
This is the current genocidal situation in South Africa under the racist apartheid ANC regime. But Obama chooses to lecture Americans instead of the government of the racist hellhole that is hosting his treasonous rants against America.
White farmers in South Africa claim they are being targeted in a series of brutal attacks over land that are being overlooked by police and implicitly encouraged by the country’s parliament.
Activist groups promoting the rights of white people in the country claim there have been 90 recorded attacks in 2018 so far, with one farmer murdered every five days on average.
The Independent spoke to a woman who described how she was gang raped by three men who invaded her family home, and a man whose brother was gunned down at the age of 21 and said he believed race to be a factor in the killing.
Last week, Australia’s interior minister insulted South Africa by suggesting white farmers in the country could be given fast-track visas to Australia on humanitarian grounds because they need help “from a civilised country like ours”.
Peter Dutton said white farmers “deserve special attention” due to the “horrific circumstances they face”.
In rejecting Mr Dutton’s concerns – and expressing disappointment that he raised them in the media rather than through diplomatic channels – South Africa’s foreign ministry insisted that the safety of white farmers would not be at risk from any land redistribution measures.
“That threat does not exist,” it said. “There is no reason for any government in the world to suspect that a section of South Africans is under danger from their own democratically elected government.”
If you consider the ANC to be a democratic entity.
