Obama Handles Reporters by Locking Them in Sheds, Closets, Prisons But Mocks GOP’s CNBC Criticism

In this video, President Barack Obama mocks the GOP candidates for outing the bias of the CNBC debate moderators.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

And yet even his running dogs in the media, like the AP, have complained about Obama’s press control and thuggish censorship:

The Obama White House routinely bars news media from meetings with foreign leaders and other events, then releases its own photos of those events —

The presidents of the American Society of Newspaper Editors and the Associated Press Media Editors have urged their members to stop using White House handout photos and video, saying they amount to propaganda.

For the second consecutive year, the Obama administration more often than ever censored government files or outright denied access to them under the U.S. Freedom of Information Act, according to a new analysis of federal data by The Associated Press.

The government took longer to turn over files when it provided any, said more regularly that it couldn’t find documents, and refused a record number of times to turn over files quickly that might be especially newsworthy.

It also acknowledged in nearly 1 in 3 cases that its initial decisions to withhold or censor records were improper under the law — but only when it was challenged….. more

In emails that AP obtained from the National Archives and Records Administration about who pays for Michelle Obama‘s expensive dresses, the agency blacked-out a sentence under part of the law intended to shield personal, private information, such as Social Security numbers, phone numbers or home addresses. But it failed to censor the same passage on a subsequent page.

The sentence: “We live in constant fear of upsetting the WH (White House).”

Spoken like a true dictator:

“Obama Handles Reporters by Locking Them in Sheds, Closets, Prisons,” By Daniel Greenfield, November 3, 2015

“He’s the greatest enemy to press freedom in a generation.”

The Jackass-in-Chief decided to jump into the controversy over CNBC with another snide remark.

Obama suggested the Republican candidates “can’t handle a bunch of CNBC moderators.”

As a reminder, here’s how Obama handles reporters.

A reporter got stuck in less than stellar surroundings Saturday. As President Obama golfed at the fancy Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va., an exclusive course that has hosted four President’s cups, the reporter was put in a maintenance shed.

Sometimes they’re locked in closets.

The White House website proudly says ‘President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history.’

But try telling Vice President Joe Biden’s staff that, after they held a local reporter in a closet for hours after he was invited to cover a Florida political fundraiser because they did not want him talking with the guests.

And there are IRS audits for reporters who ask the Beloved Leader uncomfortable questions.

Larry Conners, a veteran local news anchor at KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis, says that the Internal Revenue Service has been targeting him since an April 2012 interview he conducted with President Obama — a fact that he dismissed as coincidence until the recent reports about the IRS targeting conservative groups.

“Shortly after I did my April 2012 interview with President Obama, my wife, friends and some viewers suggested that I might need to watch out for the IRS. I don’t accept ‘conspiracy theories’, but I do know that almost immediately after the interview, the IRS started hammering me,” Connors wrote on his Facebook page late Monday night.

Or just locking them in prison.

For the past five years, he has battled the Obama administration’s Justice Department, which in 2009 took a rather unprecedented step of renewing a subpoena scheduled to expire that year. From his case and others the Obama administration has pursued, Risen told The Times’ Maureen Dowd recently that Obama represented a fundamental obstacle for press freedom.

“It’s hypocritical,” Risen said. “A lot of people still think this is some kind of game or signal or spin. They don’t want to believe that Obama wants to crack down on the press and whistleblowers. But he does. He’s the greatest enemy to press freedom in a generation.”

Obama certainly knows how to handle reporters, even though the vast majority of them just repeat back his talking points. Looks like he has something in common with Putin after all.

So would Obama recommend that Republicans

1. Lock CNBC moderators in a shed

2. Lock CNBC moderators in a closet

3. Hit them with IRS audits

4. Send them to prison

But I guess Republicans aren’t running for banana republic dictator. America already has one of those.
