Omar’s Citizenship Story Collapses: No Naturalization Record for Father, DNA Report Adds Fuel to Fraud Probe
The plot thickens.
USCIS letter and DHS ‘Certificate of Nonexistence of Record’ provide that Ilhan Omar’s father never naturalized. There’s no record of his naturalization. Therefore, Ilhan Omar’s narrative that she ‘derived’ citizenship at the age of 17, through her father when he naturalized, cannot be true.

Federal Probe Into Ilhan Omar Expands
Investigators found no naturalization records for Omar’s father despite her claim of deriving U.S. citizenship from him in 2000, with USCIS and DHS documents confirming the absence after thorough searches. The probe also examines DNA evidence suggesting she married her brother in 2009 for immigration benefits and her California winery’s shutdown amid fraud claims of selling empty barrels. Her office calls it political harassment, while former President Obama condemned it as an appalling targeting effort; no charges have been filed as subpoenas continue to relatives.
DNA evidence found in Ilhan Omar case could prove congresswoman married brother in fraud scam, report says

The raid of Ilhan Omar’s Washington DC home produced DNA evidence in addition to her personal passport as part of an immigration fraud investigation.
Federal authorities seized Omar’s phone in the search and have issued more than a dozen grand jury subpoenas, including to some of her relatives.
Now, it’s been revealed that federal agents went further, obtaining the DNA evidence and her passport, Fox News reported.
Agents have denied reports of ‘dumpster diving’ through Omar’s trash as part of the probe but it is unclear how her DNA was obtained.
However, a source told The New York Post that her DNA provides crucial evidence that proves allegations Omar married her brother to earn him a green card.
Multiple sources have said the evidence has given prosecutors a basis for federal charges against Omar over immigration fraud.
Omar, 44, has not been charged with any crime and vehemently denies wrongdoing, insisting she is the victim of a politically-motivated witch hunt.
The Daily Mail has reached out to both a spokesperson for Congresswoman Omar and her attorneys for comment.

Border Czar Tom Homan has warned that Omar could be stripped of her American citizenship and deported if federal investigators uncover evidence of immigration fraud.
In an interview with Fox News, Homan declared that investigators had assembled a ‘strong case’ against the Somali-born lawmaker.
Asked directly whether the investigation could result in Omar being denaturalized and deported, Homan confirmed that such an outcome was possible.
‘Of course,’ he replied, explaining that if someone lied during the naturalization process, there was an established legal procedure for revoking their citizenship.
‘We’ve done it before, and it is a long, tedious process, but it’s been done before,’ Homan said.
‘I’ve been involved with those investigations before, and certainly if the evidence points that way, yes, it could happen.’
Homan’s warning came as former President Barack Obama launched an extraordinary defense of the Somali-born lawmaker, accusing Donald Trump’s administration of weaponizing the federal government against one of his fiercest political enemies.
The escalating confrontation follows a dramatic FBI search of Omar’s Washington, DC home last Monday, during which agents seized Omar’s cellphone as part of an investigation into allegations involving her family’s immigration paperwork.

Homan suggested investigators were increasingly confident in the evidence they had uncovered.‘I’ve been told we have a strong case,’ he told Fox News on Saturday. ‘We’ll let the evidence see where it leads. She’ll be held to the same standard you and I are held. If she violated law then she’d be held accountable.’
The border czar also suggested that immigration fraud investigations were intended to send a wider warning about the consequences of breaking American immigration laws.
‘Deterrence is a part of what this administration is doing,’ he said, pointing to efforts to review refugee cases and pursue denaturalization proceedings.
But when pressed on whether federal authorities were investigating Omar for other possible offenses beyond immigration fraud, Homan refused to elaborate.
‘I won’t go there,’ he replied.
The border czar’s remarks represent another escalation in a politically charged investigation that has already triggered outrage among Democrats and prompted a rare intervention from Obama.
The former president took to X on Sunday to condemn the investigation, accusing Trump of attempting to intimidate an elected official for exercising her right to criticize the White House.
