Many have listened as Sheriff Richard Mack of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association has continued to point people back to the Constitution as the means to keep their representatives in check. Sadly, many have not paid heed to his exhortations, but many have paid attention. One such man is running for sheriff in Clackamas County, Oregon.
Paul Moore sat down with investigative journalist Alex Newman to discuss his platform for sheriff.
At the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, The New American magazine’s senior editor, Alex Newman, sits down to talk with Paul Moore, a candidate for County Sheriff of Clackamas County, Oregon.
Moore, a United States Marine, deputy sheriff, Oregon State trooper, and executive of a Fortune 200 country, is seeking to become a sheriff who views the constitution as the “foundation of public safety,” Moore explained, rather than “ceremonial window dressing,” as many sheriffs do.
