When we look around the world today we can see hundreds of examples of pagan temples that still stand to this day. But when you turn your eyes toward Jerusalem and look for the Temple of God, you will find nothing but dirt.

What does that tell us of God’s wrath and anger against the Jews, their religion and their apostate oral traditions? It tells us that He is far more forgiving of nations that practiced literal Satanism and human sacrifice than He was of the so-called Chosen people of Israel. Jesus echoed this sentiment often in His earthly ministry,
Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. – Matthew 11:21
Judaized Christianity and their infatuation with Israel must be obliterated in this new decade. Nothing has perverted the faith and theology of the average Christian more so than the continued obsession with modern, faux Israel. No matter how many times you point to scripture or logic, Christians continually get pulled into the sensationalism of prophetic speculation surrounding Jerusalem and the 3rd Temple.
For example, this week the British Newspaper Express.co.uk put out a piece that can only be described as over-the-top Christian Zionist propaganda aimed at prophecy and Israel obsessed Christians. The article entitled END OF THE WORLD: Jerusalem third temple ‘fulfils Biblical prophecy’ of the end times is a who’s who round-up of prophecy “experts” quoting all of the right verses in all the wrong ways.
Here is a summary of statements made by the alleged experts,
“Christian pastor and doomsday preacher Paul Begley has claimed the signs of the end times are coming to fruition. The Indiana-based preacher said: “The rabbis of the Sanhedrin court are calling both mayor candidates to include in their plans for this city the rebuilding of the third temple. “Folks, this is as close to Biblical prophecy – I don’t know what else to say. “That’s how close it’s getting and if you’re a Christian, you’re saying: ‘Wow, the Messiah is coming’ “There’s no doubt about it. Jesus of Nazareth, the saviour of the world, is going to return. Pastor Begley enthusiastically claimed we are now living “in the last days”.

According to Irvin Baxter of the EndTime Ministries, the third Holy Temple will be rebuilt in the last seven years of the world’s existence. The doomsday preacher said this will happen in the first three years of the end times and will be the “most visible sign” of the end times finally arriving.
Mr Baxter said: “As that cornerstone is laid on the Temple Mount, every network on Earth will be televising this incredible event.”

And Rick Brinegar and Dave Robbins of the Endtime Ministries said: “The Bible prophesies, in many places, that a Third Temple will be built in the near future.
“In Matthew 24:1-2, Jesus tells His disciples that the Second Temple would be utterly destroyed.
“From Matthew 24:3 throughout the rest of the chapter, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives overlooking the Second Temple, while He prophesied of events that would occur near the time of His Second Coming.

In the 2017 book World Empire and the Return of Jesus Christ, author Simon Downing wrote: “Dispensationalism also accommodates into its teaching the belief that the Jews must rebuild their Temple.
“The building of the ‘Third Temple’ is therefore at the heart of Dispensationalism; even though it recognises that the Beast will desecrate it before the coming of Christ and the Millennium.
“Already many Third Temple vessels and artefacts are being prepared for the bloody sacrifices of the animals that will occur in that Temple.”
Total Israel worshiping, dispensationalist drivel.
There really were only 3 sentences in the entire article that weren’t built on assumptions and verses speaking to the the rebuilding of a 2nd Temple after the Babylonian exile.

So, thank you, BibleInfo.com. That was the only piece of insightful truth in that entire piece. Nobody knows the day or hour of Christ’s return, and most certainly none of those quoted. These men are spiritual hacks not pastors. The only thing they know how to do is molest scripture for profit. They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to profit off of something that exclusively resides in the domain of God the Father and none else.
If you read the verses listed in historical context, every single Old Testament verse mentioned was written hundreds of years BEFORE the time of Herod the Great, and his 2nd Temple. This is a simple FACT.
Matthew 24 deals with Jesus cursing and prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem and the 2nd Temple. Jesus also implicitly states he will destroy the 2nd Temple and raise up another Temple, His very body in 3 Days in John 2,
Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? But he spake of the temple of his body. When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. – John 2 18:22
There is no 3rd Temple, only the Spiritual body of believers that make up the Body of Christ. That is the New Covenant Temple, anything made by the hands of man is a demonic abomination and accursed of God.
Ground to Dust
The simple fact is the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. is God’s eternal curse on Israel. Pointing this out is the only effective way to get Christians to recognize that their idol worship of Israel targets them for the wrath of God, not the blessing of God.
The destruction of the 2nd Temple and Jerusalem was without question the most significant siege ever recorded in history.
Josephus, the Jewish historian recorded the Roman conquer Titus’ reaction when he first came into the city and saw how completely ruined Jerusalem had become, and noting that had it not been for the internal fighting of the besieged Jews of Jerusalem they would never have overcome its defenses. It was then that Titus, a Pagan, realized that it wasn’t Rome that had conquered Jerusalem and destroyed it utterly, but God who assisted the Romans and “ejected the Jews.” Here are a couple of excerpts from Josephus’ historical account of the Roman leaders reaction to the Fall of Jerusalem.
“Now when Titus was come into this [upper] city, he admired not only some other places of strength in it, but particularly those strong towers which the tyrants in their mad conduct had relinquished; for when he saw their solid altitude, and the largeness of their several stones, and the exactness of their joints, as also how great was their breadth, and how extensive their length, he expressed himself after the manner following: “We have certainly had God for our assistant in this war, and it was no other than God who ejected the Jews out of these fortifications; for what could the hands of men or any machines do towards overthrowing these towers?” (CCEL.org)
“ NOW as soon as the army had no more people to slay or to plunder, because there remained none to be the objects of their fury, (for they would not have spared any, had there remained any other work to be done,) Caesar gave orders that they should now demolish the entire city and temple, but should leave as many of the towers standing as were of the greatest eminency; that is, Phasaelus, and Hippicus, and Mariamne; and so much of the wall as enclosed the city on the west side. This wall was spared, in order to afford a camp for such as were to lie in garrison, as were the towers also spared, in order to demonstrate to posterity what kind of city it was, and how well fortified, which the Roman valor had subdued; but for all the rest of the wall, it was so thoroughly laid even with the ground by those that dug it up to the foundation, that there was left nothing to make those that came thither believe it had ever been inhabited. This was the end which Jerusalem came to by the madness of those that were for innovations; a city otherwise of great magnificence, and of mighty fame among all mankind.” (CCEL.org)
God is eternally at odds with the Jews and anyone that supports the rebuilding of a Temple that God Himself caused to be ground to dust. Ancient Jerusalem had been so thoroughly destroyed that nobody can determine where the Temple had actually stood. The debate on where the Temple was located on the Temple Mount platform or elsewhere has raged for eons. What is considered the Wailing Wall and the Temple mount in Jerusalem is actually Fort Antonia, a massive Roman fort that was set on top of the highest hill.

Conclusion
So getting back to the title of this article, what if we were to teach this title as a limerick to every child going through their Bible classes at a very young age?
“Pagan Temples All Still Stand While Israel’s Temple is Ground to Sand”
Catchy huh? And the total Truth for that matter.
The next generation would begin to understand that Israel, whether ancient or modern is under the curse of God and that no amount of rehashing old fulfilled prophecies pertaining to the Babylonian occupation and the rebuilding of Jerusalem will ever be enough to supersede the historical record and evidence of God’s eternal wrath on Israel and their false religion.
Sometimes it takes something as catchy and elementary as a childhood nursery rhyme to obliterate the lies and longstanding traditions that bring error and false theology into the Body of Christ.
We are Christ’s and His alone, we know from scripture that God’s wrath is upon Jerusalem and the Jews who continually do the opposite of what God had commanded of them.
It is time to grow up and start acting like saved and sealed believers, and stop playing the whore with Israel. And for all these teachers that have sprung up like weeds over the course of the last 50 years, the Bible says to let them be accursed and not to participate in their false ideas and doctrines.
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. – Galatians 1:6-9
