Pelosi Banned From Speaking In House After Calling President Trump “Racist”

In another WWE moment, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was briefly banned from speaking on the House floor on Tuesday after she referred to President Donald Trump’s behavior as “racist.”

Following Trump’s tweets on Sunday blasting anti-American Democrat congresswomen, Pelosi not only referred to Trump as “racist,” but also “xenophobic.”

Trump had tweeted:

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly……

….and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how….

….it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

“How shameful to hear him continue to defend those offensive words, words that we have all heard him repeat, not only about our members, but about countless others,” said Pelosi.

“There is no place anywhere for the president’s words, which are not only divisive but dangerous, and have legitimized and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of color,” she added.

Of course, nothing was said that was either racist nor xenophobic, but of course Pelosi’s comments were absolutely stupid.

Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) claimed that her remarks violated House rules forbidding personal attacks against the president or lawmakers.

Pelosi said she had cleared her comments with the parliamentarian in advance of making them after Collins asked if she wanted to rephrase them.

“I would like to make a point of order that the gentlewoman’s words are unparliamentary and ask they be taken down,” Collins said.

Rep. Emmanuel Cleaver (D-MO), who was presiding over the floor, told the representatives present “to refrain from engaging in personalities toward the president.”

Cleaver eventually abandoned the chair and dropped the gavel due to the nature of the situation.

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said, “The words used by the gentlewoman from California contained an accusation of racist behavior on the part of the President.”

He added, “The words should not be used in debate.”

Hoyer’s comments issued a technical ban on Pelosi from speaking on the House floor for the rest of the day, even though a motion was made to strike her comments.

However, that motion failed by a vote of 190-232 and Pelosi’s comments were allowed to stand.

Every Republican present voted in favor of the motion.

How about Republican members of Congress get up and start pointing out crimes and racism and cronyism and lies of the usurper on the floor of the House?  I’ll be that would get a Democrat reaction because they believe Obama to be black, right?

What we are seeing from the Democrats is nothing short of a Communist tactic to browbeat President Trump into silence, but I guess they haven’t caught on yet that such tactics don’t work too well with the Donald.

Still, it’s just another WWE moment in DC political theater.
